I choose to improve my health by drinking teas. Some of you would rather let yourself go and rely on drugs. BTW, I do take supplements such as calcium (high quality), Fish Oil, Vitamin E, and I've never had a single side effect. Then again I'm take no drugs. We also keep our diets diverse, but realize that our crops are mineral deficient, and supplements help bridge the gap. Yes, don't live off superfoods and supplements.
acai is another fad like all the next NEW SUPER THIS OR THAT............... i ate chia seed for six months...... three times daily...... never felt one bit different..... you're gonna tell me a tea is gonna provide health....... I HAVE SWAMP LAND IN FLORIDA FOR YA
@mysticradio - yeah, acai isn't significantly different than a blueberry/bilberry. If you eat acai everyday, you won't feel different unless you are adding several groups of foods to your diet that you don't normally eat... if you don't eat veggies/fruit, you'll feel a difference if you suddenly incorporate 5+ servings of fruit/veggies into your diet. Acai could possibly help if it had nutrients in it that you are deficient in ...which isn't the same for everyone.
How do you know how many antioxidants I need based on my age, health and lifestyle? How do you know what ingredients I'd include in a salad and their nutritional value?
You apparently don't even know these questions are important. This is the kind of glib, one-size-fits-all advice comes from a penny-pincher, not a nutritionist.
My mother is a doctor. She says that basing your diet mainly on "superfoods" and using a lot of supplements can actually be dangerous to your health. Firstly because there are adverse effects. Antoxidnts for instance can worsen the balance of minarals in your body. Secondly, every nutritionist will tell you that rule number 1 is keeping your food DIVERSE.
@sandrakeller2 I agree, and that's what my 2 naturopathic doctors told me... taking mega vitamins (which are nothing but vitamin isolates) can do damage. The longest living people in the world for the most part don't take any supplements and antioxidants, they just eat healthy and avoid toxic foods, stay active physically/mentally, and stay positive their lifestyle habits are their secrets to activating their longevity genes (which everyone has).
I've just ordered flavoured tea from here. Strawberry Chocolate, Coconut Cocoa, Double Dark and Peppermint Chocolate. ;) I'm a chocolate addict.

There is no such a thing as superfruit - it's all about marketing.
A blackcurrant from your garden or a bilberry found in nearby forest have MORE ANTOXIDANTS than promoted exotic berries.
Besides, you can receive all antoxidants you need by just including a salad to your everyday meal. It's perfecty enough. No need for splashing money.
