I think you did hack, because you get evee from Bebe which u need the national dex, also for that one guy to tell you whats in his garden u need the national dex, and you need the pokeradar to find it in the wild. Also you can't migrate till you get the national dex.... *cough* cheat *cough*

I have hatched over 400 eggs and still nothing, I got the English and Japanese pokemon together in the day care, I have the pokemon in my inventory with the ability flame body to make the eggs hatch faster, and still nothing! :(

@WinterSableye The likelihood of a hatched pokemon to be shiny when bred with foreign parents is at 1/2048 in Gen IV and 1/1366 in Gen V. So you still might have to give it some tries, some are lucky and get it early, some are not.

No. Once a Pokemon egg is created, everything is set except the IVs. The IVs are set when you take the egg from the old man. So if an egg isn't shiny, it'll never be shiny.

LOL i used the masuda method for an abra using a jap alakazam. I hatched 324 eggs and no shiny for 2 weeks. So i went out and used the pokeradar and in 2 hours i had a shiny kadabra :D i guess the masuda method is all about luck :P

Yep. The idea behind the Matsuda Method is really that you are three times as likely to get a shiny. It's still much less than a 1% chance.

No need to do it all in one sitting, but it helps if you hatch as many eggs as you can before calling it a day.

What's hilarious is when I hatched my Mudkip, I had saved before taking an egg that night, to prepare for the trip in the morning.

So when I get in the car and expect to hatch a lot of Mudkipz, that egg was shiny, lol.

no. The Pokemon just have to be a different language from each other. So Spanish and English would work too, or Italian and Japanese.

Japanese and Japanese, English and English, Spanish and Spanish, etc would all yield normal odds instead of increased odds.

Don't bother. If you want to get a shiny pokemon this way, leave them at the daycare until they produce an egg. Then when you know that the egg is there, do not take it from the day-care man. Save in front of him, THEN take the egg and check it. If the egg is shiny, then the pkmn will be shiny. If not then it will NEVER be shiny, don't bother hatching it. Reset and try again until you get a shiny egg.

That's what he means, though, but it's slightly incorrect. Save before taking the egg, hatch that egg, and if it's not shiny, save and take another until it's shiny. When it's shiny, you can SR and take it again hatch it over and over again for better IVs.

There's no way to tell by looking at the egg sprite; you have to hatch it.

This is extremely time consuming however, hatching each egg singularly.
