not every run is shown over and over, the main one is the 60 yard runs in the beginning because it shows his ability to make people miss, his speed, and his incredible balance. only a few runs are shown over because of the diferent angles. Every other highlight video shows the same runs several times, and they only fill up about 3 to 5 minutes. Most of the runs on this video are only shown once. Did you watch the entire thing or just the first minute?

first of all its pretty easy to look good when your playing in an easy conference. mark ingram had to play against SEC defenses all year and still put up big numbers.
Hardesty (Tenn RB) who rushed for 1300 yards against mostly sec defenses, only had 80 yards against UCLA, averaging 3.4 YPC. Toby had 130 4.6 ypc and 3 tds againt the same team. Hardesty ran all over teams like Kentucky (180 yards) South Carolina (120) Gerhart also rushed for more yards against Washington than the ENTIRE stable of LSU backs, this was when Charles Scott was healthy. It's a shame that they only give (and I do mean GIVE) the Heisman to the best player on the best teams with the best records. I thought the Heisman was supposed to go the best player in country. Unfortunately, that seems to happen less than 50% of the time. This year I seriously doubt that the best player will win either. Toby Gerhart will make the trip but he will come up empty handed because a majority of the people who vote did not notice him until the USC or Notre Dame games.

@mooalim power running has more to do with pure strength...this guys has very good technique. he understand the leverage game. Im not saying he is gonna just run over everybody like larry csonka or mike allstot im just saying he will be a decent RB that can carry the load, but he will need a change up back , he would be good in SD with sproles or pittsburgh with parker or mewelde moore

not every run is shown over and over, the main one is the 60 yard runs in the beginning because it shows his ability to make people miss, his speed, and his incredible balance. only a few runs are shown over because of the diferent angles. Every other highlight video shows the same runs several times, and they only fill up about 3 to 5 minutes. Most of the runs on this video are only shown once. Did you watch the entire thing or just the first minute?

I was reading comments from other Gerhart videos and people were dogging on this kid. saying he isn't fast enough for the NFL and everything...Walter payton? Emmitt smith? oh yeah, not known for being fast tailbacks by any means.
They would get the job done with their eyes and ability to break tackles and get yards after contact. would you want a 250 pound tailback with 4.4 speed running straight at you? didn't think so.

Hardesty (Tenn RB) who rushed for 1300 yards against mostly sec defenses, only had 80 yards against UCLA, averaging 3.4 YPC. Toby had 130 4.6 ypc and 3 tds againt the same team. Hardesty ran all over teams like Kentucky (180 yards) South Carolina (120) Gerhart also rushed for more yards against Washington than the ENTIRE stable of LSU backs, this was when Charles Scott was healthy. Just because says the sec has the best d doesnt means its true, the facts say otherwise.

Final day for voting was Monday 12/7, I think. I think anyone but McCoy would be a good pick. I wish they would give it to defensive players. The description of the award is that it's given to "The most outstanding player in college football". Most people would agree Ndamukong Suh is the best single player in college football. But, for some reason, they won't give him the Heisman. If it can't be him, then I would vote Toby Gerhart #1, and I'm an Alabama fan.

Jordan Shipley is probably going to win the Belitnekoff award (nations BEST receiver) , he is currently the top finalist. He has had 2 monster years and runs a 4.3. Tebow has Hernandez who will be a top tight end in the nfl and Riley Cooper, a guy with 4.3 speed who makes big plays.

It's a shame that they only give (and I do mean GIVE) the Heisman to the best player on the best teams with the best records. I thought the Heisman was supposed to go the best player in country. Unfortunately, that seems to happen less than 50% of the time. This year I seriously doubt that the best player will win either. Toby Gerhart will make the trip but he will come up empty handed because a majority of the people who vote did not notice him until the USC or Notre Dame games.

Toby can still win the Heisman, with yet another jaw dropping performance against Notre Dame and then hopefully in the Emporia bowl! Ingram struggled mightily today against Auburn. C.J Spiller is a better "all purpose" threat, but he isn't the workhorse Gerhart is (who can carry a team on his shoulders that way and doesn't have as good stats)!
