I made a folk apocalyptic song called "A Winter Evening's Tale" which references the topic of this awesome video. Do check it out in my channel or check it out in the video. response. It references a lot: Pilgrim's Progress, tarot, bible, Alice in the wonderland, peter pan, Shakespeare, Book of Revelations, the crusades and many more. This is for all of us folks facing the end of the year 2010.
Flemish painter, not Dutch. He was from de Nederlanden (a region) of which Flanders was the southern part, not Nederland (a country). Great painter, though.
If you like "Triumph of Death" and Jeronimus Bosch's artworks, you must see "The fall of the rebel Angels" by Ricmeric on YouTube: an amazing oil painting by a contemporary french artist, Ricmeric.
Excellent presentation. With Brueghel it does need time for details, but the drawback here- as the video says- is not enough time for so many other great paintings.
the flemmish painter are for me the greatest ,the one i really envy, it s the first real oil painting on wood panel it s so old and yet so contemporary i was surprise by the colour the liberty in imagination the proof to that is when sudying those artist the teacher tell us to do it ourself they prefer to foccus us on more boring artist in in other period as well in the italian school ,some caracter are draw like some in some comic book with bright light water colour painting

Love Bruegel's work! The Triumph of Death is what got me into his work. Bosch, Dali and Parrish are some of my favorites!

I recently bought the Fleet Foxes album and it had one of Bruegel's paintings as the album cover.
Ever since then I have really got into his works.

It is Agnus Dei (obviously) but I found it here on YouTube; then stitched it to another Tonal Hymn with the same sound and tenor...
I believe they are both Spanish cantors...
