When the GBA port came to be, all sorts of wonderful, nearly game-breaking bugs were introduced.
Btw, this game was meant to be a NES game, so the graphics engine on the SNES and PS is nothing more than a glorified NES graphics engine. Reduce the colors down to 8 and, there ya go, 8-bit graphics.
The artwork though is incredibly solid. For a game that didn't make the transition quite as well though, I found the SNES port of Dragon Quest 1 to be quite ugly.
Yes, I would easily agree with you. The DS remake of the game enhances the art style further by adding in more theme to certain areas, which was apparently not possible on any of the other versions of the game (especially the SNES versions)
Woah man this story sounds so bad ass. I would have never expected Final Fantasy to be like this. Hopefully Final Fantasy versus 13 will be as dark or maybe even darker than this one.

yea i agree final fantasy 7s difficulty jump is alot steeper than most FF's and yea grindy parts in rpgs tend to make me stop playing them for a while persona 3 mad me so mad at the end when i was about 8 levels lower than i need to be to beat it

I liked the original North American SNES Version.
The only big differences is that the translation could have been better and that it's a little bit easier than the origianl japanese, not as easy as easytype, however (I still remember having a hard time beating Zeromus...)
