God.. This is such a waste of money. How much more subway lines do we really need? MTA is making a bunch load of money and it should be used to improve their services by lowering maybe fares? People are smart enough to transfer between lines... I think they can waste 1 minute of time over paying an extra 25 cents per fare. This is a useless project, i am ashamed they were even thinking about charging school kids for fares.

@Flash3Francisco As the MTA cuts bus and subway service in working class areas they want to build extentions of a train line where nobody lives. This is in anticipation of the new residents of the new Luxury Condos that are going up. It seems to me like the M.T.A. is playing reverse Robin Hood.

I wonder how they dig a tunnel without the existing buildings collapsing? Funny how he says "People built the buildings without the subway and that's how they went broke"... like no one can walk 4 avenues across! I used to work on 33rd & 10th.
