I will launch much stronger next time! I thought the road(first time riding top half) was steep enough to carry me to speed faster but it is not all that fast till I hit the curve(2:37) heading west. Then the speed gets much better from there.
@kumquatsta Pegless gets rid of the footpegs which has some advantages. it is safer when racing in close prox to other lugers--It removes the additional mass(of the boom and pegs)that detract from cornering authority--it allows a greater range of freedom in braking. My pegless is also wider and with wider trucks for more lean authority and traction in tight curves. It is not that a pegged luge is obsolete - Pegless just offers these advantages on tight curve roads. Best for Mt. Scott Rd.
