One thing I do like more in this version is the inclusion of the kids as the SNES one it was just Dr. Grant if I remember correctly. And also the inclusion of the road that is pretty neat as well :P
Hey, I used to love this back in the day. Do you have that part towards the end of the game, where if you go the wrong way, you get eaten by the T-Rex? No matter what you do if you go that way, you always got eaten. I used to go the wrong way so I could see that T-Rex stomping about. I guess when there were no amazing graphics and huge open Worlds. You appreciated moments like that more.
I think the composer of this game is the same composer of the sequel jurassic park 2: the chaos continues, the music is pretty similar. Both are great.
I had this too, and I assure you it didn't seem as easy as this guy makes it look at the time. (Especially when my brother and I had to huddle together for the Raptor part.)
I was always wondering what dinosaur was in the sewers because it looked like a T-Rex but it kept bringing it's head up and back down into the water so I was like that can't be T-Rex it had to be like Mosasaurs or something
Damn what a crappy ending to a long and frustrating game! I remember the SNES one was just as frustrating, but the ending in that was sooo much worse than this!
Wow... damnit i didnt know this existed... I damn dream playing this same exact game... but i thought my dream just distorted the Snes version in my head ... ahh weird 15 ish years later
Il est 100 fois plus beau que la version snes et a l'air d'etre beaucoup plus passionnent sérieux rien que les music sont vraiment tribal super bien foutu I LIKE awesome
i never got past the bit with the T-Rex chases you. Used to shit myself playing this as a 7 year old and didn't know what to do at that bit of the game :(
Man i remebered that as i was a kid... i loved the start Screen... so smooth and chilled. If someone have a longer version of that Track or the scene himself so pm me or give me a link...
The last section of this game, when it became a first-person shooter, terrified me. Suddenly going from that breathy bass music to the panic theme when you were in a room with a raptor... I thought I might have grown out of it, but I still find it very difficult to watch now! I don't feel embarrassed at all to say that I always played that part with the sound turned off.
I had this game when I was younger too, I always got stuck at the Stegosaurus paddock, I got to the other side of the bridge but no kids... annoying. I found a cheat eventually and then couldnt get past t-rex, nearly made it several times but not quite.
I had this on the A500 - all four disks of it, and like all Amiga games at the time that wasn't a point-and-click adventure game, there was no way to install it to a hard drive :(
Graphically, it wasn't too bad when compared side-by-side to the A1200 and PC versions, but the frame rate was poor, especially in the 3D sections, and some of the music would be missing if played on a 500 instead of a 500+ (less chip RAM to hold the music), which killed the atmosphere somewhat.
I must correct you and say in the 80's and 90's. 1985 was the date for the first Amiga to be released, the Amiga 1000. The Amiga 500 was the really popular model though in the 80's and the Amiga 1200 was the really popular model in the 90's. Amiga still exist for those who are interested. Search for AmigaOS 4 on youtube and google :)
@Przeciskiwacz After the Amiga 1000 came the Amiga 500 and the Amiga 2000. After that came the Amiga 500+ and then the 600... and the 3000... and the 3000T. I think the CDTV was released after that. Then came the A4000, 1200, CD32 and A4000T. There where a few other models like the 1500 and 2500 as well but they wasn't that common.
OMFG the Raptor Scenes always scared the hell out of me ! My brother and me always killed all the raptors, until we were out of ammo, but we did it. But one can imagine, how high the Adrenaline was ! :D
And that T-Rex Scene around 24:00 Was Great, it scared me too, but the music is SO great, such a frantic Scene...
man, so thats what it was like:D nice work. lol that was like 20 mins of velociraptors in the end lol. i myself never even got the bitch out of the sewer in the first level. But when i was by myself and didnt even know of THAT tunnel yet, i didnt even know about the tunnel and was just wandering about lol.
i loved the sfx of the title screen.... too bad that i diddnt get it anywhere

some of the greater soundtracks IMO - the game was quite satisfying to my mind. confusing though.

Man the Raptor part must be hair-raising because the minute that music sounds, it signals that the Raptor is near you.

The gameplay looks very similar to Alien Syndrome, except you don't have an uber-strict time limit here. Ironically, that makes AS scarier than JP.

Objectively you must have made the game harder that way; but if you can stay calmer, it's maybe a plus.
