One of the most influential bands to me and my music. '94 and although you hear clean vocals and some melodies on Unorthodox and The Spectral Sorrows albums, this one here broke through full blast. If technically and theoretically going back to see/investigate where Melodic Death Metal came from you can def say EOS was 1st and then came the rest. Not counting the 1st album but elements could be found like I said on the 2nd and 3rd and finally Purgatory Afterglow they found their niche!

I first heard this on Bill Peter's Metal on Metal show on 88.7 WJCU back in 1994. I was impressed by this band. Edge Of Sanity was a great band. Too bad they didn't get the recognition they deserved for writing such great songs.

what thegrimner said. it's worth mentioning that Crimson 1 was the only album mike did vocals on. all other edge of sanity is dan (including Crimson 2). he can do fucking brutal growls and angelic clean vocals. very diverse voice and musical creativity.
