  • i really feel for you mate, im 14 and would hate for that to happen to my series 1 (yeah, 14, series 1) judging by the comments your rebuilding her? good man! i think i might just tap that subscribe button!

  • MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

  • what do you mean 'totally fucked'? by the looks of it that would have driven home

  • its a sad day when someone classifises a rangerover as there pride and joy . I am laughing and pointing at the limies

  • @RReaper100

It's an even sadder day when someone who does not have a basic grip of the English language tries to post witty comments on a public forum...

classifises - should be - classifies

there - should be - their

Maybe you should stick to speaking French eh?

I too am pointing and laughing at the moron Canadian....

  • shouldve bought a jeep

  • maybe you should get a vehicle that is not so top heavy. range rovers are nice trail rigs but they are very top heavy

  • That's a fair point...

However, most of the weight of a Range Rover is in the chassis, engine/gearbox and axles, the body is made up of aluminium panels over a steel skeleton. Even the roof is ali, the only steel panels are the bonnet and the lower tailgate.

So although you've made a fair point I would have to disagree with the statement.

A Land Rover Discovery is top heavy due to the 3-skin steel roof, which is why I didn't have one of those.

    Thanks for the comment though...

  • hmm i didnt know that they were mostly aluminum i guess i was wrong about them being so top heavy anyways enjoy your adventures

  • sorry about your rover, but now its build time.

  • It sure is..

And the rebuild is nearly complete..

Watch this space for videos of the "reborn" Range Rover soon.

    Cheers.

  • never mind at least no one was hurt !!

  • Exactly..

Metal and plastic can be replaced..

    People can't...

    Thanks.

  • Hi It was a 3.5 V8.

The Rangey was salvaged and the chassis re-used on my new project.

A bigger and better rangey ;)

I bought a 3.9 V8 and basically swapped the old chassis (with all the suspension mods etc.) onto the new vehicle

The project isn't complete yet as other mods have been done along the way which anyone who has done that kind of thing will know it's not the sort of thing that can be done in a weekend...

And I wont be rolling it this time ;)

    Cheers.

  • Hi and thanks for the comment..

We did get another vehicle to winch it back over, however, what you can't see from that angle is the lack of space to get a vehicle down to it.

We had to winch from the top of the valley, approx 40 feet away.

The engine sadly died due to a bent pushrod and snapped rocker :(
