That motor sounds like it is hurting. So your idle wont drop after your rev it... It raps out pretty quick. I know you have been doing this for 20yrs but..... Try fattening up the top and leaning the bottom to smooth out that power band. Your hitting that high note too quick and the your idle isn't dropping.
