Which gun would be better for hunting at ranges from 50 to 80 yards the marauder or the airforce talon ss and is the talon ss pretty quiet like could i shoot this gun in a neighborhood??? plz reply
rick i need your help my lepaers accu shot 3-12x44 that i got from pyramyd air a month ago is already messed up i have only shot maybe 500 shot with that scope on my benjamin super streak and today found that the glass from the eye piece id loose i wiggles back and forth about1/16 inch i dont know what to do it still functions the same but i dont want a noisy unrealiably scope on my gun what do i do???
Just contact Leapers directly.. They'll replace the scope. That is quite odd for a Leapers scope. But the super streak is a very powerful springer with a ton of recoil. In some regards it does not surprise me that much.
@AirGunWeb i took the chance and took off the eye piece but first experimented with an old leapers i had and sure enough it was just the ring looking skrew the holds the glass i tightened it and shot it alot these past three days at the ranch and it is as good as new but thanks anyways and thanks for all the great vids
if you could get the nitro venom review out before thanksgiving that would be great, because then i could know if it's good or not so i could ask for it for christmas!
hi, rick whats the best air gun i can get for under 700 dollars i was tooking at the airforce condor bounty hunter and it seems pretty nice. also how big of a tank should i get for a pre charged pneumatic? Thanks again!
Don't leave out the Marauder in .22 or .25.. If you can get a 4500 psi 88 cubic foot carbon fiber tank for filling your guns, you'll be much happier. The standard 3000 psi tanks work too.
@Airgunbegginer easely the BSA Lonestar .22. Its 500,- and you get a beautiful, extremely accurate BSA gun with English quality. Mine is shooting .25 groups with JSB 18 grain at 900 fps! I woulnt trade in mine for anything.
At a 50m competition I even outshit Daystates and Theobens which are both 1600,-+ guns.
Hey this is irrelevant to the talon, but what air rifle do you think would be a better choice the nitro venom or the Remington summit, I know you haven't reviewed either so you probably haven't any experience with either but I wanted your opinion anyways.
this gun looks very simple but looks very good and it seems light weight, i love the easy to access to the power adjuster and the removable air tank reservoir. I see in pyramidair some extra tanks that will be usefull for a long hunting days but even with one tank it will give you a lot of shooting. thanks Rick for another good review........
Nice review rick everything you said about this gun is right.I say American Airgunner the other day, with paul capelo, using this gun as well and he also stated its extremely accurate.
Maybe you did not see the the numbers.. the best group was .171 ctc at 20 yards.. The only technique necessary with the AirForce Talon is hold on tight.. it is light and tends to move even with a light 2 pound trigger pull. You can't shoot it like a spring gun. The first group is before I had really grasped the technique.. the other two groups got increasingly better.
@AirGunWeb I should have thought before I blurted out of my stupid mouth lol. Sorry, I only saw the first group, then commented haha. .171 ctc is amazing! I can only get from under 10 yards lol!
Rick, let me the first to congrat you on this great review, I have the Arforce force talon with 18" barrel and it is a blast to shoot . I use my hill pump to fill my tank with no problem. Great review my friend keep up the hard work. Daniel
Yep.. I had a lot of work to do in a short period of time.. I'm glad they all got posted. Now I off to work on the next batch of products. Thanks for watching!
@AirGunWeb love watching them....only two things I have issue with...1) wish I can easily get the AGW "combo" from pyramid, 2) wish I had boatloads of $ to do so :D
Well We can help with the "combo." I'm working with PyramdyAir now on this.. It would be nice to just have a pre-packaged deal based on my setup. Anyway, check their site moving forward. I expect it to pop up as an option soon.
You know brother that they Airforce makes such good products but, they have not evolved into making a bolt action or semi to keep up with products on the market that give a hunter more bang for there buck.. I can't argue with the single shot performance but some follow up shots with the same platform would elevate them to a new level...You are so good at what you do, and I thank you from the Air gun community..

For that range I'd go for the Marauder. The Talon is quiet, but not nearly as quiet as the Marauder.
