  • Have you had the chance to shoot with the 5d mII? Yes it the autofocus is slow, but I have gotten great BIF and sport shots. Don't read and believe everything on the internet, try it out for yourself.

  • Boys, boys, boys - It's nothing about speed. Seriously. Yes it's important to have good gear but it's also how fast your finger is on the shutter button. how well do u compose an image and much more than mere settings. U can have the fastest camera in the world and still miss a shot

  • right same thig whit e-500 faster than d90

  • So well, comparing olympus with canon or nikon is like comparing leica with canon or nikon. They are different class ! olympus like leica does fewer bodies but at a higher quality, better build and ZD glass can really be only compared to leica. The canon, sony, pentax and nikon are very consumer oriented and that's all, the pictures say that. You want common performance, go for them but stop singing you;re the best cause you got 1 billion ISO cause that's pathetic.

  • olympus is the way. the quality is so much above the rest. just you feel it, by playing with dslr's a little. olympus is the way, it is quality at all levels.

  • olympus is great no doubt there.

    but yeah

i guess it's the way since over 80% of the professional market went back to nikon.....

so yeah i really guess is the way

  • @ichirootaniguchi well, I guess not quite 80%. From what I know, nikon is not the answer to everything. no true professional wants to carry a 1 ton camera and lens, when on olympus you got the same zoom and precision with half the costs, carrying a third of that weight. true professional studio photographers use phase one and hasselblad. olympus has smaller camera bodies and superior glass, targeting leica kind of users, for versatile and quality systems.

  • @vrcraft you being an olympus owner i guess! lol nikons pro bodys and glass far outperform olympus! fact.

  • @quickshooter100

Hey, don't be nasty. you will never find better and lighter zooms than Olympus. now on the smaller lens, they're all the same. the zuiko glass is simply better, only leica is better or the same. It's a fact tested by me, not by other phony paid testers.

The thing with low light is again very very relative. Same i tested them both in night shots and performed the same. The lens F numbers makes the difference, more than brands. Big iso is a bad compromise whatever the brand.

  • @quickshooter100

What canon and nikon do is they offer very very consummer oriented stuff, expensive pro lens and mediocre glass. If you want an olympus quality canon, you have to pay big time. Same with nikon. When I, with the kit lens I got the same clarity as you got with a nikon pro lens, again tested by me. Also, the depth of field of olympus is deeper, so the pictures are more realistic, they do not look stretched, like on aps-c, again from my observation.

  • @quickshooter100

I'm not a fanatic but I hate when i see how canikon throw shit at their competition and try to give the impression that they're the only options on the market. You will be amazed if you'll stop believing all they say. Olympus glass is better, pentax glass is the same as canikon, just cheaper and that are facts. Olympus has stabilization on all lens and the best zooms, so faster shutter speeds, no need for big iso. You need to know photography, to know these things, really.

  • @quickshooter100

Otherwise we're arguing on marketing ads and it looks stupid, really. I used them all to know the difference and believe me, if i need to make great picture, without braking the banks, i go with olympus. If i wanna look stupid and from the crowd, I take canon and shot mediocre shots and pay a lot on quality lenses. Plus carry gear that's 2 times heavier and when dust settle on sensor i pay for cleaning and so on.. pay. Now what do you prefer, depends on you.

  • @quickshooter100

Also canikon doesn't even have something that's called pixel mapping :)..you probably must pay thousends to have that , on a pro body. Otherwise you're screwed, you must go for support. And so on, you don't even have CF cards on entry and medium ranged canikons. I got it in any olympus, as I got settigns that you don't even know they exist if you don't get yourself an $3000 canikon. And that's photography, lately. Olympus dslr lacks filming for now, but should be on the way.

  • @quickshooter100

Dam, they should let you write more here :)

  • @vrcraft :O)

  • One more happy Olympus E-3 user is here :)

  • OLY is for sure the future!!! (E-510 owner)

  • this machine is so cool I want one

  • Yes! Pentax is also great ;)

  • i like canon best

    but camera is camera

  • viva la Pentax mate

cant wait for K30D have high hopes for it

  • Sony and Olympus are the Future.

Canon has to long taken the 1st Place

  • i have an olyimpus E-410

so fun! its my second camera and its great

  • Canon And Nikon will be up there forever.

  • canon's dead now lol

80% of the market has gone back to nikon :D just like in the film days

  • Canon is not dead. Laughed

  • canon is ripping off their customers with focusing problems on the 1D Mark III, 5D Mark II, with £5000 + L range lenses that have to be re-calibrated right out of the box and that god forsaken "error 99" that even 1d Mark III users experience is offensive.

Canon's days are already numbered and Nikon has already dethroned them with the D3 and D3x, looks like either Sony / Minolta or Olympus will challenge Nikon. I am impressed with Sony's and Olympus's offerings already.

  • yes i also agree

the big 2 *nikon and canon*

is really a huge rip off for the consumer

Pentax, Sony, and Olympus, all have the anti shake function inside camera

while canon and nikon wont put it in and lets admit it! its for money. So instead they sell vibration reduction lens which to cost ALOT more than non vibration reduction lens.

the others has is this inside already so any lens they put on would have the vibration reduction!

im very impress on the company that put it in their cameras

  • @sbs260

That may be true, but lens based vibration reduction means that you can see the image stabilized through the viewfinder, which helps a lot when composing a shot.

  • yeah i used to own a 1DS mk3. and the AF pissed me off.

canon's AF has always been shit even from the early days of EOS. the only reason why canon took over is beacuse their AF was slightly faster than nikons pin powered focusing system.

the 5D mk2 is rubbish in all aspects except 1. image resolution and quality. thats all it's good for. the ISO6400 setting/video are all marketing gimmicks to make up for their loss to the D3/D700.

  • @someguy6481

True the "pro" 5D mII has less AF points than Nikon's midrange D90

  • @someguy6481 yeah? like oly wont make any new slr after the e5

  • @someguy6481 >implying oly lenses can even compare to L-series.

  • you are so lucky and great video!!!
