@USSBN734@tao1541 You MUST understand what over penetration is, If the round just sails through a target then the energy was NOT placed properly, and the shot is BAD, it may kill the target but the energy was wasted. this particular shot showed the rat bleed out, it was dead on impact. because the round entered and the SOB bit it hard. anatomy is important knowledge, and damned near ANYTHING will twitch and buck around after its brains/spine get rattled by a round, even people do it.

@cnn94001 You keep baiting up in the same place for about a week, let the rat gain some confidence, then you put your bait out set your camera up fine a good spot to take your shot. give it about 10-15 minutes for the rat to pop out and take your shot, I think you should get yourself a gun and have some fun, :-)

ive got a pet rat- but wild rats are another thing much more aggressive and carry more diseases i wouldnt even go near a wild rat as opposed to my pet one , domestic rats are also smarter because they were bred in captivity and used in lab experiments and had their colour altered -easier to see them in the lab conditiions, they are smarter at problem solving etc....wild rats are like squirrels..vermin

Hey! What are you using for bate? and what cal. are you shooting?
I've been trying to use apples but I'm not sure thats doing me so well. I also use .177 cal. it seems to do just fine.
Do you have any tips for me regarding bate/ammo?

@316Jesusislord I use bread crumbs, that way they can only take a small mouth full at a time and have to keep coming bake for more, let it take some of the bait two or three times to gain confidence, then shoot it the next time it pops out, i use a 22 but your 177 should be fine, happy hunting and good luck.
