@lol32141 Well, the manga technically came out first which spawned the Anime, but since the Anime was producing episodes much faster than the manga, they dropped the project when it was trying to do something else with the show.

And then, the OVA movies came up, aka, long wait in production (6-12 to sometimes 18 months wait time between Episodes' production).

@edison7300037 At the time that this anime was made I'm guessing that the manga was not completed or for some reason (I totally forgot, I read about it some where awhile back) the studio decided to create their own ending to the anime. Or there was budget problems, they never had the money to complete the whole thing so they had to end it different than the manga. Of course the manga author as well as the fans were not so pleased with it,Thus we now have Hellsing Ultimate which follows the manga

Which means @ Level 0 he relies on the released souls aside from his own might. In this form he's also down to a sword as a weapon. More souls contained, more resistance to injury/ death. More souls released, less resistance to injury/death. He's still not easy to kill, however!

@admarshall617 Alucard doesn't lose any of his powers, he has all of his abilities including the control of his familiars now. As long as Alucard isn't struck in his heart, he can't die. Though of course some people like Nail of Helena Anderson who's powers are meant to negatively effect unholy creatures like Alucard, can severely hurt him.

Alucard turned into a girl for shits and giggles. Walter became a child so Alucard decided to screw around with him and turn into a young girl. That's all.
