"During the band's 1996 live sets, when they were opening for Alanis Morissette, the song ended with a very long Hammond solo courtesy of Jonny, drawing it out to the eleven-minute mark." I could dig for another 4 minutes of that sexy elec. spiral organ solo :(
chicken voices in my head... whats there, whats there, when i am king you will be first against the wall, with your opinion which is of no consequence at all
I planning on covering this for my school leavers essembley. (speelling)
For the first section, I plan to play piano and sing with a drum machine playing, for the second part, record it all before hand and then mix it live whilst singing, and for the third part, play it on guitar and sing. First, I must learn piano, guitar, and write the second part.
I can totally see why they got rid of the keyboard. I like how after the second part it doesn't go immediately into the hardcore main riff but I do not like how they leave it out of the ending entirely :( If they had built it up and ended with more intensity....perfection.
it seems like for every single radiohead album they actual release 3 albums because for each song their is the pre-recorded live version, the final recorded version, and the tour version of the song.
In rainbows is a good example of this.
listen to the songs from the 2006 tour, then the album, and then to the tour they have been on. they are always evolving
Heard about very early versions of Paranoid Android played live in the USA, with organ solo's in it (!), lasting 14 minutes or more, I would kill anyone just to hear. But until then this will plentifully suffice. Brilliant version of a really brilliant song. Listened to it now for ten times or more, still think it's even better then the ultimate version on OK Computer. It's nice to have a wife, kids, house and so. But the people having witnessed this gig are the true lucky ones...
I see you're still calling shitty gig recordings demos.

i think this version shows a great song with loads of good ideas, but the record version perfects it and makes it immortal IMO.
