Bloody hell you're only 31! Don't even bullshit us that you've flown a P-51. The ones left today that aren't in a museum are used for air shows. Let me guess, you're an air show pilot or your dad was and he let you fly onw when you were young ad naseum. Unless of course you mean simply that it's difficult to fly ANY real plane - in that case you're right. I do contend though that flight isn't the hard part, landing is. Those first several times do add a pucker factor of 10.3 to your ass. :-D

Yes I am and I am DAMNED envious of you right now! What was it like?!?! Can you describe the cabin noise? I currently own (thanks to my Grandfather) a '73 T337G Cessna Skymaster. I've never flown a single-seat before and am curious as to how it feels. As for your airshow family - once again YOU SUCK!!! (in the nicest way) Now I must ask what do you think about jets? Personally I'm not a big fan.

Hi Captain, thanks for the email. Well It is great fun and to be honest I don't know or want to do anything else for a living. The cabin nose was roomy if you get my drift. Although my love is the German acrobatic plane called the extra 300 - awesome power and manuverability. Good on you with the Cessna though and nice to meet another flyer. Personally I'm not a jet fan but I'm sure they are a hell of hoot to go up in.

I meant cabin noise as in the vibrations you feel throughout your body. I'm thinking perhaps you thought I made a typo. I've been told and have read that strapped into a fighter your body (as in the vibrations you feel) tunes into the airframe and the aircraft itself becomes an extension of your body. I don't know much about aerobatic fying and possibly never will. For now I'm content being an English teacher and a dad (my T3 is named Lenore after my daughter) BTW I'm STILL envious :-D

Hi there Mr Tripps, arrh sorry my mistake, yes there are vibrations but no where near as much as you would imagine (pretty well grommeted up)although I must say that in a combat scenario you probably could feel an extension of yourself I know I always do in the Extra 300. You must try the P51 if you ever get chance, it's such an experience and something I will never forget! So English teacher and a Dad hey? Good for you and envious, I'm still not married and no kids I know of....yet! :)

I teach English III and IV AP. When I feel I've matured enough I'll go for a Professorship. About being a dad I won't bullshit you - the first year is excrutiatingly scary but it gets better. It sounds cliched but I wouldn't want to imagine my life without her. BTW my name is Patrick, I'm not a big fan of being called Mr. though my students have to. I work pt at a theater as projectionist as well - one day a week but I get free tickets.

It's a nicely edited video. Good job.

But just something that threw me off the CFS series is the simplistic F.M. and the almost total lack of gun recoil. Imagine firing 6 .50 cal's. That must be somewhat bumby, should it not? And all we get in CFS is the plane flying unjitterly (ok, that is a new word) in the air.
