@MrGriser I'd much have preferred the Intercity 225, as they are smoother trains and are more reliable.

@MrGriser They were quite comfy actually =P I kept swapping between a table and single seats to keep comparing them. I actually really like the table seats. The cabin was actually quite spacious with high ceilings.

Haha...at 18:24 you are passing Bensham in Gateshead...my mother lives at the very bottom in the posh end...up that area its named "Murder mile" the clue is in the title...i watched all 31:32 of it...and had two cups of coffee with 6 ginger snaps :)

@19bootsy68 Yes, i've heard that parts of Gateshead are pretty rough and "Murder mile" doesn't surprise me. I'm very glad you enjoyed the video and i'm sure your coffee tasted better than the one onboard the train!! They have some pretty uninspiring cups of tea/coffee in standard accommodation, but I was very surprised how comfortable the journey was. @craiglsimons 4 murders in about a month in a square mile...one shot dead two stabbed to death and a beheading of a landlord who's body was found in the boot of his car....they have a nice Chinese take away up there :) how long is the return trip on Youtube?
