You've got to be kidding. I've never heard anything from Clapton that impressed me enough to think of him as a legend, much less as a god. Perhaps it's because you need to learn more about the guitar that you are so impressed with him. I'm sure he's a great guy. I've read his autobiography and thought his story was great, but he's overrated as a guitarist. His stuff with Cream was really, really good. He pedered out when he went to Joklahoma and started recording with a bunch of redneck idiots.

tardwhisperer, I have to agree with you. Clapton never did anything for me. His music was dull, his stuff with Cream was dull, he was just dull and boring. never rated Clapton as a guitarist and even less as a song writer. He was just a bit bland for me. Clapton was like blacmange to me, dull, boring, tasteless. Just my opinion.

I'm with you there and zeppelin ripped off many people but it was apart of the blues style of borrowing parts from other songs . So glad you can give credit were do it's a shame about Kenneth Anger and Jimmy Page both really talented but Page being an asshole is attributed to losing some of Angers earlier works which I would give a gall bladder to see.

Both Page and Anger have ego's. Both are very creative. Business collaboration created the problem, because Page had money and vice to burn, Anger didn't. Anger wanted to hopefully make an impact on all levels and Pagey was having problems. It's tragic because think of what those two could accomplish if they collaborated today. - so mote it be!

what really sucks is that he blames page for losing some of his early films which he probably did lose them but Anger shouldn't have entrusted anybody else with his stuff oh well we the soundtrack was awesome I have it I might load it if I don't get sued . peace.

According to Page, he had given Anger a projector and use of Boleskine house to create his picture. He apparently, if Jimmy Page's memory serves him, hadn't really heard from him after he released his half-finished tape. He simply discarded it because of the tape only lasted a couple of minutes. Anger apparently snubbed Page years later for his failure to release an adequate tape on time and fustration that he had to find someone else, thus wasting time and money on his pet project.

Jimmy Page wanted to do the soundtrack for Kenneth Anger's film "Lucifer Rising" but after three years, nothing came of it. Page recorded some music, but Anger said it was just droning.
Anger was also pissed off that Led Zeppelin didn't hire him to direct "The Song Remains the Same."
However, Anger lived in Page's London townhouse for a while, editing his films (at Page's expense).

Kenneth Anger I would say is one of the most deceptive men today... he is a member of the O.T.O. which is illuminati level satanism, and he was also indirectly connected to Charlie Manson through Bobby Beausoleil, as well as a host of other satanic garbage and many on this list have the gual to call this man a "nice man"... wow lots of deception going on.
