You should try Ener-G Egg Replacer. It works extremely well. I've made vegan cookies, and non-vegan people loved them. They were shocked to learn they were vegan :)

As for the cookies, I have to say they were perfectly cooked, Bob's culinary skill was not the issue, the recipe was definitely flawed...
