@lizncindy well hahhha actually for the first 2 months I went to my school counseling center but my situation got worse and they referred me to a Clinic outta school then my insurance covers everything.. but yeahh you are deff BETTER than any therapists I ve been talking to!!!! @confuzzled888 hey girl. i came out when i was 15 and im19 now. i think it was little too early but sometimes its better to just come out with it, and plus i think my fam started to relize it a little because i would never bring boys around. And you're still super young. Plus since you're young, everyone is going to assume and say you're going through a phase or whatever. Wait a few years :)

Being bi-sexual is a brain abnormality and it is not necessarily derived from genetics whereas being gay is looked at as a genetic trait. Chemical imbalances in the bi-sexual brain block certain receptors that allow a clear distinction of ones "attraction" (simplest way to put it). It is not unlike being alcoholic. In general, no harm as long as it is recognized and you have safe practices in place.

Oh yah, I did the same exact thing when I was finding myself. It was because my best friend started dating a girl and I started thinking about how I was around her and how we were. After almost two years of denying it I finally clicked that I had fallen for her. I am over her now and in love with someone else but it was definately a learning experience and your advice is great advice and it definately helps.

@MsAnnonomouse hey my mom used to say the same thing when I was younger - like how do you even know if you haven't had sex, but it's entirely possible to know. You need to wait until you feel the moment is right to tell her. Let me be honest and say that a lot of times, there's never really an opportune moment but coming out is difficult and stressful. It can also be very rewarding and liberating. If she will react badly, try and use some of the tips we mention in the "tips for coming out" video
@MsAnnonomouse sorry - continued. You definitely need to figure out yourself first. There's no rush to coming out, it's all on your own time. Take time to figure out how you feel and what you really want. Try an analyze how you feel about both guys and girls - where you see yourself in the future. And follow your heart not your head - I was in denial for so long about being bi. So it takes a while but I'm sure you'll figure it out.

coming out is hard.. not going to lie, why don't you test your feelings and attractions see if its for you and then get comfortable with it.. before even worrying about coming out to your mom :)

Before coming out to anyone it's best to be absolutely certain that you're not just having a few exotic crushes that might go away, but that you're seriously feeling attracted towards girls. If you're sure that you're bi I guess then there's no other way than to just tell them in a good moment. Coming out is always kinda hard and uncomfortable y'know, but sooner or later you need to do it. Hang in there ;-)

@Surlie06 You're definitely straight! But the answer is yes - you CAN become a lesbian. I personally believe that people are born gay/lesbian/bisexual, but I think that they just might not realize it for a certain amount of time.

personally i think that everyone has an attraction to the opposite sex and i agree with everything you said but for me its kinda equal for who i like to be with more although i don't consider myself bisexual i consider my self pansexual (One who can love sexuality in many forms. Like bisexuality, but even more fluid, a pansexual person can love not only the traditional male and female genders, but also transgendered, androgynous, and gender fluid people.)
I think also one way to find out is if you write to yourself or go through and think about the beginning of your life how you thought or what you were thinking and reacting would be the obvious point that will tell you if your a lesbian or not.

Being bi-sexual is a brain abnormality and it is not necessarily derived from genetics whereas being gay is looked at as a genetic trait. Chemical imbalances in the bi-sexual brain block certain receptors that allow a clear distinction of ones "attraction" (simplest way to put it). It is not unlike being alcoholic. In general, no harm as long as it is recognized and you have safe practices in place.

Thank you so much! This video really helped. Well right now I'm jealous of my best friend who is being pursued/ flirted with or whatever and she's a girl. Oh yah, I did the same exact thing when I was finding myself. It was because my best friend started dating a girl and I started thinking about how I was around her and how we were. After almost two years of denying it I finally clicked that I had fallen for her. I am over her now and in love with someone else but it was definately a learning experience and your advice is great advice and it definately helps.

This video made me laugh so much when I got to the arguing part, with my gf and I, we argued about everything just silly things really but we would argue like cat and dog, one of my friends would always be shocked and be like “why do you do this to each other its horrible” but we never once had an argument where we were mad at each other and so many of our friends would say we were like a married couple before we got together or even knew we liked each other.

@MsAnnonomouse hey my mom used to say the same thing when I was younger - like how do you even know if you haven't had sex, but it's entirely possible to know. You need to wait until you feel the moment is right to tell her. Let me be honest and say that a lot of times, there's never really an opportune moment but coming out is difficult and stressful. It can also be very rewarding and liberating. If she will react badly, try and use some of the tips we mention in the "tips for coming out" video

@MsAnnonomouse sorry - continued. You definitely need to figure out yourself first. There's no rush to coming out, it's all on your own time. Take time to figure out how you feel and what you really want. Try an analyze how you feel about both guys and girls - where you see yourself in the future. And follow your heart not your head - I was in denial for so long about being bi. So it takes a while but I'm sure you'll figure it out.

Before coming out to anyone it's best to be absolutely certain that you're not just having a few exotic crushes that might go away, but that you're seriously feeling attracted towards girls. If you're sure that you're bi I guess then there's no other way than to just tell them in a good moment. Coming out is always kinda hard and uncomfortable y'know, but sooner or later you need to do it. Hang in there ;-)

personally i think that everyone has an attraction to the opposite sex and i agree with everything you said but for me its kinda equal for who i like to be with more although i don't consider myself bisexual i consider my self pansexual (One who can love sexuality in many forms. Like bisexuality, but even more fluid, a pansexual person can love not only the traditional male and female genders, but also transgendered, androgynous, and gender fluid people.)

I think also one way to find out is if you write to yourself or go through and think about the beginning of your life how you thought or what you were thinking and reacting would be the obvious point that will tell you if your a lesbian or not.

@MegannManiacal dude.... im almost exactly the same... but i dont think girls are really attractive.... but i like the emo/goth/punk/rocker type dudes. But.... like theres is this girl that i can't get out of my mind and a lot of the thing Heather said was like how i feel.... but if you like guys and girls i wouldnt classify you as a lesbian. totally bi
