I can honestly say that I can only devote my love for classical music to a few songs only. This one has got to be first pic among probably only three or four others.
As heard in the Australian movie Gallipoli, by Peter Weir 1981, and starring a young Mel Gibson and also Mark Lee and Bill Hunter, and heard just before The Australian forces main attack on The Nek, This masterpiece is very moving and a credit to its creator. It takes me away to another place everytime I hear it, very powerful.
Explanation: Organs aren't well tempered tuned as the orchestra is. Ussually the maker tunes organs in a specific key so the other keys may be not quite in tune. You're right but that's part of this work. That tuning discrepancy makes it more misterious and interesting.
Me gusta mucho--gracias!

It's not from Albinoni. It's from Remo Giazotto. He fraudulously attributed this to Albinoni.

En realidad
lo hizo Remo Giazzotto
en 1945
inspirado en arreglos
de Albinoni.
aldanesuiz 3 years ago

Albinoni's Adagio in G minor is one of the saddest, most poignant pieces of music that exists!
