@notonewhit It is an issue of what is is “evil”. If our intuition to act is in harmony with the experiencable cosmic lawfulness, then it would not be evil. For example: creating chaos with the environment violates the laws of nature or disrupting a person's life can violate laws of human development.

There is a difference between obeying a moral norm and performing an act that is merely consonant with that moral norm and not motivated by it.

The unified world of ideas referred to isn't something disconnected from the real world or a world of a person's delusions. These are the unified ideas that are discovered by science and a philosophy rooted in human experience.

If the motive is purely individual, resulting from pure reason alone (including ethics, reaching for your highest ideal which is our highest pleasure), it would be uniquely yours by being free from the normal non-ideal influences. To be “good” would still depend on whether your intuition fit within the harmony of a lawful cosmos. This would require knowledge of your field of activity, such as knowledge of ecology.
