@TallSky Thanks, It was a humbling experience to hold several careers and a 5 billion dollar ship in your hands. haha. What a great experience for anyone who wants to serve their county.
I was in the ship in i belive 2004, w/ ROTC class..love it..i wanted to join Navy or Marines but couldnt cuze im hard of hearing :( but great ship.. <3
Impressive carrier. I gotta say, I don't think Stennis deserved a ship named after him, given his positions on civil rights and due process, but impressive nonetheless.
im glad to see some patriotic people around. Some, on the other hand, think that america is stupid, dirty, and smells. NO!!!! IF it wasnt for us, Europe would have been in complete control by Hitler.
You all make me PROUD to be an American. Son of a bitch, what a beautiful ship. Thank God for all of you in the military, navy, Army, Marines.. Air Force.. Coast guard.. you all kick ass. Thanks for everything you all do so we are safe "back here.' - an old geriatric firefighter in Arizona
your dad is head of OPS and you got to drive it,WOW,how does it feel when you have a ship that big and its yours, quite a most noble undertaking id say
i have someone in my family that was on the stennis they too have had moments where sometimes they say it was a home away from home,i don't know how long he was on the stennis, but he retired two months before the two towers was hit
What a grand and glorious sight it is to see one of these big flat tops pulling in to port after a long deployment. G-d bless these grand men and women who stand the watch. It does this old Marine's heart good to see that the baton has been passed to those who would step forward to stand the watch. OOORAH!!! Semper Fi!!
I was on this ship from 1998-2002 Operation Southern Watch and Enduring Freedom. Seeing this vid makes me miss it. Had a blast and made lots of friends.
Heartfelt thanks for a beautiful video from someone that served onboard her from October 2001 to January 2005....she's one hell of a Lady..thanks again!!!
wow i didnt expect to see ppl from the boat comment this video, im in V-1 ABH3 Perez of V-1 Air dept. damn....that was a hot minute ago....time to get ready for the next deployment!
LOL you probably did my Hearing tests the i served the same years from 2000-2005 I would have stayed if they would have left her in San Diego but well had to move on. -ABE2 (AW)
AT3 AIMD USS John C. Stennis here, what's his name? Oh, and if you noticed, there are no planes topside on the boat. This is because all the jets flew off before we got there.
AT3 USS John C. Stennis here... I was on this ship, and I had arrived on the boat out of C-School... IN SAN DIEGO!!! I was like... why am I back here?! Lol, and then of all places, we're stationed in Bremerton. I CAME FROM BREMERTON LOL!!!
Plankowner on the ship from 95-97 (V-4) when I tore my acl. as I watch this video I remember all those fod walkdowns and I wish I could see the ship again,
Ah yes, the JCS, I manned her rails at least once. I was part of VFA-146 the "Blue Diamonds" and we made the Millenium Cruise in Jan 00 aboard the Stennis, lookin' good!
Brings back memories! (Former Master helmsman 1997-2000) Drove her about a dozen times in and out of SD. Great Ship!
