  • march 3rds my b-day :-)

  • Bullshit! I just realized wher I was raised... all estates in Skerries are near the sea....some more than others though.

  • "an estate near the sea" I'm thinking by his relatively broken English he lives in Kelly's bay or Skerries Rock.

  • nice shot

  • i live in skerries and i wana know were you got this video you did not see this!

  • Interesting, where in skerries (ireland)? I really saw this in a cloudless sky, like today;-) But scarry to see so many clear skies here in Ireland during this months...

  • where in skerries did you catch this?

  • Just at an estate near the sea. If you are intetrested in more info, please sent me an e-mail.

  • Much better than the TV stations, excellent work.

  • hi all i think this is good i watched it all and was knackered on sunday morning

  • from halfway of the clip, it was very nice looking

  • Hello DJLights, most clips were at twice the actual speeds, except the one (the last but one scene) where you can see the total eclipse phase to just start of partially illluminated; that is at 4 times. I only showed things so it fitted in a 4 minute time frame (so in actual time around 12 minutes).

  • Ok, thanks for clearing this up. Very nice work.

  • One more thing is that if the moon was in a fast-forward to show movement, shouldnt the phase of the moon also change? Yet in each clip the phase is totally static. Just my observation.

  • Ok, It seems pretty obvious to me that this poster took the best still photos that he could find of various stages in the eclipse and edited movement in a video program. The line of the moon's movement isn't consistent throughout each clip, and it seems also that it should possibly be moving more vertically than horizontally. Also there is an obvious lack of any other features in the frame... other than flat, digital black.

  • Wrong evaluation;-) It are real pictures, which is even not difficult to make if one has a simple tripod (and a camera that zooms up to 64x). The vertical movement was indeed not that large (as you can see in the video).

  • I can concurr with that, I recorded it from 21:30, untill 01:25 and I used 3 cassettes. I have a decent camcorded and very good tripod. I only have the first half posted as I haven't had time to edit anymore.

  • wow - your video is amazing - mine was utter crap - just on my telephone after a few too many bubbles

  • Thanks. I did not see the reddish "dark side" like you got it. I had snow clouds to peek thru. Great pics/video. Thanks from NY USA

  • Wow. This is one of the best amateur videos of the lunar eclipse I've seen. No shakiness, you obviously used a tripod or telescope, and I love the way you capture the moon's movement across the sky. Excellent.
