According to Lisa's official website (which apparently youtube will not allow me to post) Karen is the older sister of Lisa and her "vocal twin". Based on that I would say that Karen is doing her own singing at the beginning of the video and not simply miming Lisa as speculated by other posters.

Amazing band...Andy Gangadeen / Snake Davis / Snowboy / Winston Blissett amongst others and the amazing Lisa Stansfield herself. A master class for any budding UK session musicians....

Smooth transition into the Candie Staton classic "Young Hearts Run Free." Very nice. Man Lisa woulda' fit right in in the 70's.

hi mr sisko197 the lady in question is karen lisa's sister its not her singing she is miming to lisa's voice it was done as a joke to fool the audience as its clear as it is lisa who is singing as she appears

this video's a pleasant surprise :) and so is finding out Lisa has a younger sister who sings just like her. She almost fooled me for the first minute or two.
