I'm really proud for Shamcey. Not only for accepting defeat, but also respecting the results. People here who are saying that Filipinos are jungle monkeys, pigs or whatnot... but if you listen to her, she values her principles as a Filipino. While Asians, regardless (I'm loosely speaking of course) of your...categorizations, were mainly interested in trade. If you look carefully down history, poor countries in the world remains poor due imperialism.

Judging has always been subjective based upon the 9-panel judge personal choice; they can be objective as per guidelines but at the end of the day they have to base their score on the one question (only, if they stick to be objective). Their scores will be averaged to decide the winner.

To be on the top five (5) is good enough for Philippines (Shamsey Supsup); all five are winners - but the Miss Universe crown has to be decided by one question only and nothing else.
