I've just done this design, but my nails are shorter, so it's not only, like, on the tip of the nail, it's lower... almost on the whole nail... I've got just enough space for the dots... still, I love this, looks so pretttyyyy :)))

Yes...actually the 'red-tip' was necessary. It is the base color...it is what the strips had to hold on to. If Raquel hadn't done a colored tip, then the 'stripe' colors would have been far to transparent & it would have taken more than a single swipe to build the color which would have made the stripes gloppy.

no, i don't think it's necessary for the red tip at all because everything covered it up. you can use any color you want and it will still look the same.
