@MERMAIDGIRL8870 ß ist ein alter Buchstabe und wird "hart,scharf" ausgesprochen wie "ss", deswegen heißt ß auch "scharfes S". Da der Buchstabe aber keinen tieferen Sinn (subjektiv) hat, gibt es ihn z.B. in der Schweiz schon nichtmehr und auch in Deutschland wurden viele "ß" bei einer Reform weggekürzt. In Gruß, Straße oder ähnliches ist er noch vorhanden. Meiner Meinung nach darfst Du auch Gruss und Strasse schreiben :)

@kacakromeo The more classic Kids Cartoons are "Biene Maya" or "Wiki und die starken Männer", both look like Anime, because, technikally they are. They where Produced in japan for Germany.

More Adult comedy would be the "Werner" Movies, but these ones have a strong Northern accent in their language so, they maybe aren't the best ones to learn german from.

@alohaCHMP You didn't give this question to me but as a German I can tell you that the 'v' in 'November' is pronounced as the 'w' in 'waste' . That's because 'November' is kind of a foreign word. e.g. the name 'Veronika' comes from Greek [w/v], but the name 'Volker' is germanic -> pronounced about 'Folcuh' . But there are some exceptions like 'brav', it's not originally a german word so it should pronounced 'bruw', but 'cause of daily speaking and colloquial we say 'bruf'. I hope this helps.

There are two different ways of how the "ch" is pronounced. One is very harsh and the other rather slight. (e.g. "Achen" (like cawing) and "Bündchen"(very soft)).Just an advice. Since many of you remain to learn this phoneme you should know how to do it properly :D
