  • i can definitely understand what you are saying,i suffer from migraines and the isolation is a living hell,i wish you to be completely free from this affliction, and all others who suffer from migraines, yes,it seams only those who get them really understand, thanks for sharing.

  • aura of the migraine*

  • Hi there, thanks for the video, I know it may sound annoying when people say they know what you're going through, bit I really am. About 2 months ago, i experienced me first hemiplegic migraine. it was the single most scary experience of my life. i had a numb arm, felt severely uncoordinated, had trouble speaking, i couldn't remember basic facts about myself. This was the migraine of the aura. I went to hospital and was rushed to A & e, as the paramedics were worried i had experienced a stroke

  • @jemDaBaws i do hope you are well,it sounds like a harrowing experience,i pray you are well today.

  • i hate it when people just think its a bad headace, even one of my teachers wouldnt let me go home until i could feel half my body and stuttered. and btw is any1 else sick whilst having a migraine i take anti sickness pills to stop. it fucking sucks. but idk if ive got hm's feel sorry for you what ive been getting for the past years seems like nothing compared. even tho every time i get one i feel like wanting to get knocked out to stop the pain

  • @264ash i know,i feel the same way,i just want the pain to go,i do hope your migraines are under control, all the best

  • How long have you had the HMs?

  • At first they are way scary and draining and irritating and disruptive. After years of them you learn more about how to live with them and so do the people around you. I am sorry you are experiencing them so young. It will never be 'easy' but you will learn how to deal with them. When you go off to college you will need to 'train' your room mates on what to do in the event. For now let your parents and friends help you and relax a bit. Take notes along the way on what works and what doesn't.

  • I have hemiplegic migraines and I'm 14 years old. they're soo scary :(

  • So sorry to hear that EZZY. This video was actually more like 15 minutes and I went through a more detailed description of HM for me. If you are on Facebook at all please join our Hemiplegic Migraine Facebook page. There are a few UK people on there, so they would have more local resources and information for you. The group has been a huge help for me facing each day. I have figured out more triggers. I thought I knew them all and avoided everything I could, but I am still learning. Take care.

  • I have had 5 HM's (with fits ) today. i am a single mum to a young child. This is a terribly debilitating illness. Most people hear the word migraine and think headache - not so. My poor child has to watch her mummy shakking and fitting, or paralysed and unable to speak on a dally basis. This is distressing for her and myself. Because I am in the Uk I am no longer to be admited into A&E with Hm symptoms as they just send me home, I dont know where or who to turn to. its all teriibly sad.

  • @EZZY1968 yes Ezzy,as a single mom,and your precious child witnessing your attacks on a daily basis, you really are taking a big hit from this, myself,i am a musician and working on a migraine is pure hell, but your's are more severe than mine,my 4 year old is sympathetic, she senses daddy is hurting,i pray for wellness for you and your daughter, please be well
