This is to all those people who buy Toms because they think its for a good cause. What is thw point if they dont last long and they wear out quick? I mean I see people with them and they tell me like after 3 months they rip. I mean if that happens to us here in the US I wonder how long will they last for the 3rd world ppl when they dont have paved roads and run on dirt and rocks. It would be better if they gave something that lasted longer.

@GoHardMG Hi! I´m from Argentina. Sorry that my english is not so good. These types of shoes is called ALPARGATAS. These shoes have been around for years and years, because there are to be wear to work in the country. The real version, not the toms version, it becomes stronger by use, because it is made by a type of grass called yute. So these are a fashioner version of alpargatas, they may rip in 3 months but the important thing is the idea and the people that they help!

@kaseyyydrums I talk to the ppl from Toms not to long ago pretty much they are giving these ppl longer lasting shoes then they sale to us the soles of the shoes they give to those ppl are thicker and so is the cloths of the shoes. Basically they are giving us shit shoes so we continue to buy their product so they can make more money. As for your Toms lasting that long maybe your not as active as some of these other ppl I spoken to. I am going to do more research on the Toms company.

@GoHardMG Well the ones I have have the laces and they seem a lot better quality, I also had a pair of slip ons that ripped after a couple months because they were too small so they got stretched out. They are good wear around shoes, if people are like hiking and crap in them, yeah they're probably going to rip.

Not a day goes by that I don't wear my TOMS. I've been in the Campus Rep program (and still am) and haven't worn ANY other shoes for the past 3 years. I have 10 pairs and wore one pair to prom. I have walked in other countries and have had my life change so many times wearing those shoes. Wearing them every single day, it's awesome to look back and see where they have taken me and where they will take me next.
