  • This is so funny.

  • I couldn't see the wire on his microphone so it looks like a big spot.

  • Pity this asshole has to resort to using other peoples gags....this Mna / Fir routine was first done by the great Sir Peter Ustinov on the Late Late Show with Gay Byrne many years ago.

  • I'M A FIR, no i'm actually a fir

  • its not fir, its pronounced 'fear' ye fool Michael!

  • @Chloe24421996 its pronounced "far"

  • @Chloe24421996 fir is plural and it is pronounced fir

    one "far"

    many "fir"

  • I liked the part where he told the joke.

  • Mna riail! :-)

  • *GASP!* Ima fir!

    Lol, Michael!

  • 80,000 viewer!

  • Fear is man and bean is woman

  • @MyNam3Sucks fir is the plural for fear, and mná is the plural for bean

  • @bouii88 So that means i'm a bean??? :L

  • @bouii88

Which is pronounced similar to "ban" in case anyone reads that and think it's pronounced like the seed.

  • That walk...is fcking halarious

  • Actually you're not a fir, you're a fear. Fir is plural.

  • @TheCJD89 junior cert pass irish IN YO FACE :)

  • @story46 Yep! lol

  • To be fair, 90% of the time there's the pic underneath.

  • I...have no idea what he just said. This sounds like Shrek having a seizure,

  • Does he think toilets in Berlin with the word Damen is male and Herren (Her in?) is for the women...twat!

    Ignorant cunt!

  • @lisduggan64 He made a mistake. Don't make a big deal out of it.

  • @lisduggan64 You mad bro!?

  • @ConfusedPingu definitely. Mad when guys like this can only get a laugh by displaying his ignorance,,,and him with a Galeic surname...ah well...give me Tommy Tiernan any day. You want to hear someone take the p- out of us Irish he the man.

  • @lisduggan64 He was only displaying his good sense of reasoning in a desperate situation! What would you do in a situation where you had to choose something quickly in a foreign language? Select randomly or use your brain to try and figure out?

  • @ConfusedPingu Not the point....cheap laughs...relying on his audience's prejudices and what the word Irish means in UK to some people is what matters. When all else fails the Brit comedian bring our the race or regional card for a laugh...each to his own. This guy does nothing for me...routines like this only affirm this.

  • @lisduggan64 Oh lord will you be quiet. Gobshite.

  • @lisduggan64 For Christ's sake, it's just a joke. Get over it. He could've said stuff a lot worse than playing on the Irish language.

  • Thats because the pub was in Scotland

  • I'm a mná and would love to find Michael in the toilets :D

  • hehe thank you for that lovely image ><

  • how does he think of this?absolute genius

  • Comment removed

  • @shygirlxxx34 genius? Eninstein was a genius. Michelangelo, Leonardo, Lenny Bruce, Picasso - they were geniius...this guy...hmmmm!

  • @lisduggan64 Um i think you replied to the wrong comment there , I don't think he's a genius...... However i do find him funny

  • @Doniedaff how can u say it's an awful joke?! He is a genius!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Beckley7890

It might have something to do with the joke's inherent awfulness. If I'm in a pub and the jacks are in a foreign language I don't understand, I'll ask. He's making a joke out of nothing. His Irish accent is crap too.

  • @Doniedaff Yer grand craic on a night out i'd say.

  • Always bring an Irish dictionary.

  • Padraic2001eire I heard this joke from Michael about 5 years ago, I doubt Michael stole it!

  • Jesus there's different dialects all over Ireland.. Therefore, different pronunciations of Fir and Mna.. End these silly arguments about it now now.

  • "I'll be out in a minute!" XD x

  • "*gasp* I'M A FIR!"

  • Peter Ustinov told an almost identical anecdote on The Late Late Show years ago.

  • very funny guy hahahaha

  • so brilliant!

  • @PintSizedAphrodite

No i think there's a fada at least that's how my Irish teacher spells it O.o

  • @CanadaxIreland I dont think so as he's from irland

  • Aaaaaaaahahahaahahahaahahahaha

  • *gasp* I'm a Fir! lmao XD

  • I'm from Ireland and I can safely say that in most areas of Ireland, fir is pronounced as "fear" not "fur". It shouldn't really sound like that because there is no fada, but that's how it's said regardless :L

  • @PintSizedAphrodite No,the word fear and fir are different, not sure what the difference in the meanings but fir is pronounced fir

    Im from ireland too

  • @aidand1234 fir is plural

  • @aidand1234 Fir is plural of fear, just like mná is plural of bean

  • @PintSizedAphrodite You don't have a clue man

  • @littleXjack Think what you like, but that's how we say it in Munster :P Most Gaeltacht areas pronounce it as "fear" as well, and its pronounced the same way on the tapes for the Junior Cert exams :) Maybe they pronounce it differently in Ulster because of the dialect, but that's the pronunciation I was taught and I'm keeping it that way :)

  • it would only be pronounced "fear" if there was a fada on the i

  • fir is pronounced "fear"

  • @LoonyTuna4

    It's actually pronlunced "fur"

  • @ThePatrickUK no its not. where r u from?

  • @97footprints

My parents are from Tamhlacht in South Dublin they taught me Gaeilge from an early age whilst getting brough up in N.England, I've always pronounced men as "fur" maybe this is just my northern English accent, I dunno never had any problems when speaking Irish with people.

  • @ThePatrickUK yeh i'd say it's the accent but people wud understand it of course.. anyway, doesn't really matter, most important thing is that michael mcintyre is funny as hell :D

  • no your right, men is fir. I't depends on wear your parents picked up their dialect.

  • I went to an Irish pub while on holiday in Spain, and the toilets said Fir and Mna. All could imagine was Michael saying "Ahh I'm a fir!"

  • Well, he has a high voice. :)

  • My brother did that once. The really sad part is he (apparently) speaks Irish!

  • In fairness it's mná that he really mispronounces :P Fir is close enough.

  • u actually say fir like fear

  • hilarious !!!

  • I love how he mispronounces fir :P

  • If you dont know who michael mcintyre is....I dont know what you laugh at haha

  • I'm a fir..hahaha!

    Pissing myself laughing

    BRILLIANT

  • laugh out loud funny!

  • whenever i go to ireland i stand in front of the bathrooms and scream I'M A MNAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!

  • haahaa i think i was there in that bathroom :DD

  • @HorseLuva132 funny, cause he makes it up :P
