Evo 3D lag problem

I have a problem with my EVO 3D, getting video lag spikes, very big ones, on webpage videos; I.e. YouTube. Everything is up to date. I have a feeling it is something I installed. Perhaps the volume boost app? I have closed just about every other running service.

I'm really disappointed by this, my Desire HD was far smoother :s

is not a PROBLEM. that phone was loading images and text from MARKET :) try again look at ANDROID ICON in market [is not fully loaded]

This has nothing to do with the RAM. My HTC Sensation has about 200mb+ of less RAM than the Evo 3D, but it still scrolls smoothly. This is specifically an Evo 3D issue that'll hopefully be solved with an OTA update down the road.

Could also be too many apps open, or too many widgets or both it takes down the processor. But install another ROM it might work. And root it first. If you are completely lost then just search on YouTube or Google for "how to root HTC EVO 3D" and then find a costume ROM they are actually very good some of them. My desire HD is rooted with sense 3.0 and it goes very good caused to its ram. EVO has even more RAM. So find good ROM. It will work.

Lol my phones(htc sensation and LG g2x) did the same thing til I updated to the new market my guess is the old market makes dual core phones lag cuz its outdated but no problems with single core phones(Motorola triumph and nexus one) good video!!!

My Evo 3d stutters as well. However, this is the only place I notice it happening. I never even noticed it until I watched this video. If I scroll slightly slower it doesn't stutter at all.

This issue must exist based on the market...Plus you have the old version of the market. The evo 3d is extremely snappy and powers through everything that I do on my device every day. The sad part is that NONE OF US WHO OWN THE EVO 3D ARE REALLY USING IT BASED ON IT'S FULL potential it is runing one ONE CORE ONLY because gingerbread is not optimized for dualcore processors. Wait till we can use this phone on both cores.

This happened on my friends phone the other day it turned out to be a hardware problem with the phone. What I been hear is if the phone is left some where hot its can damage the phone with in hours idk why that is maybe its something to do with the 3d stuff in the phone. I would take it in to let someone at you local sprint store look at it.

Well if you notice the Evo 3d goes all the way to the top of the list w one swipe unlike the nexus and it might have something to do w the continuous carousel feature on new sense ....but other then that the phone is solid

@Elreydeborinquen I noticed the same thing. In my opinion, the nexus is displaying all the images on the screen as a whole, and the evo is jumping through the images since it already processed them.

Try rebooting phone with fastboot off or second do factory reset maybe those might help?

Have you been killing your apps via the task killer? If you haven't this is a major cause of the lag your experiencing.

The 3vo travels much farther in the list when you flick it, this is not lag, but animation issue as it only seems to pause while scrolling. If that is your only issue then this proves this is a great phone

How is this lag if the Evo gets to the top of the list faster? It's not displaying all the animation or it's something bad with the programming with the video driver, but it's getting to the top faster than the Nexus S did so I can't see it being called lag.

mine has had zero lag at all. install both updates and make sure you restart your phone after the second update

look at how the 3D skips to the top. it's thinking that you want to go to the top of the list. why would you want to keep scrolling all the way to the top when you can get there quicker by skipping the middle list?

look at the little bar on the right as it moves. it skips the list making it actually faster to scroll.

I was about to Purchase an HTC Sensation and it also has HORRIBLE LAG when scrolling list!! So I didn't purchase it. I was wondering if the EVO 3D was better.

I will never buy another HTC device. Sense 3.0 is TERRIBLE. BOYCOTT HTC!! Their buggy code is destroying Android.
