nice vid. rare footage. totally different to the old school ACs. very smooth and stable and hardly any sense of speed. if that was in a Class 85 for example you would have been sent flying all over the place. looks like the film starts just before Rugby on the TV.

Absolutely awesome - get the headphones on, open a new tab, put on some donking house music and enjoy the rush of this cabride. You were very very lucky to do this and at least one driver has some common sense about him to let you in. Id love to be in a 66 hauling coal to fiddlers ferry but I doubt 'll get it. well done, life is for living and it looks like you certainly lived it that day.

@alexamltd Automatic Warning System, makes a "bing" sound if the signal is clear (notice it sounds just before the green signals) and if the signal is yellow or red it makes a beeeeep sound and the driver has to press a button within a certain time or the brakes are put on.

WOW, you were so lucky to get a cabride let alone being allowed in the cab. That driver was such a nice man to give you the chance of a lifetime.

I wrote to Virgin back in 2008 and they organised a tour of London Euston station for me plus a look in a Pendolino cab.

The Pendolino I went in was 390 026 (Virgin Enterprise) which made my day.

@ShaoKarn335 well you notice that your tilting so much more in the cab, but it feels like when you turn on a plane. 1 side goes up, the other side right down, so the side thats up you can see the wires and the sky, on the other side just the track.
