Thanks for the reply. Well, I will get about 4 GB of RAM soon so that might solve it, it takes 38 seconds to render a single frame of a city made of glass at the moment.Too bad it's DDR2 only.
Heya, could you tell me what PC specs you have please? I just recently bought a 1 GB ATI Radeon graphics card and added it to a PC of 3 GHz dual core CPU and 1 GB RAM, but rendering reflect/refract material is still slow with raytrace. Could it be the RAM that's giving me trouble? Sorry if I'm bothering.
@DETONATOAREA To be be honest your specs are better than mines are but stuff like raytrace,mentalray motionblur ,etc always take a long time to render but it could be your ram also you probably should upgrade
your ram to its maxium for the fastest results just my opinion though and no worries i always answer to my subscribers
