  • Great Recipe! thank you. If anyone is looking for tandoori roti recipe, look no further. This is it! I didnt have a pizza stone used the baking tray, turned once, came out nicely cooked and puffed up!

  • ok this is truly fantastic. I never realized Tandoori roti could be made without an actual tandoor. From being used to eating tandoori roti every day to not finding it fresh in Canada- Now I know how to make my own.

    Could you also post recipes for Roghni Nan and Taftan?

  • Hi im Samoan, and my culture we make curry too. I love Rotti, and I always wanted to know how to make the Rotti - my friend sells Rotti, and she puts curry inside the Rotti, and folds the rotti, so u eat it like a pie. i love it. thank you for your tip. im gonna do some cooking tonight

  • You can buy almost anything on-line.

  • in the u.s. you can get it from places like walmart , meijer , even big lots near me has it

  • Some store should be carrying pizza stones among holiday items. Check Walmart , Ross among others.

  • use a baking tray but you will have to turn the roti over so they can be cooked from both sides.

  • Manjula aunty, i tried the cabbage kofta gravy you posted last with the Muthia you taught us. it turned out fantastic!! and with such little oil! i will make the tandoori rotis with that gravy next time. you are a wonderful teacher. your recipes are simple and results are so tasty. you have made a pukka non-vegetarian like me interested in veg food. thankyou!!

    I love all of that bread: roti, naan, puri, the different parathas, and dosas. I love Indian food. Madrasi, Punjabi, Ghujerati, and all the street style food.

    You are a wonderful teacher. You remind me of the lady in Atlanta that taught me, but she did not speak English.
