The Mari Model was ripped out of the game "Super Smash Brothers Brawl" (A wii game), and converted into a model format that Maya could understand.. I ripped out the skeleton from the mesh, remade my own one, put it back in and then applied "Human IK", which is a knew re targeting feature in Maya 2011. Searched around youtube, or the Autodesk website for more information..
@rockhead61 I was just about to say no, but actually, that's not a bad idea at all! If I fixed the weights on the mesh, I could render it out and put it in my showreel that I've been testing skinned weights and motioncapture..
well, I think you did pretty well, considering how much effort u put into it. Glad you know how to work with mocap, as I'm looking forward to using some mocap for our group assestment. well done mate.
@n64billy! thank you very very much Dear !
Actually I am used too with 3ds max. i dont have good command in maya.
anyways

@fairyland007
I haven't used Xsi before, but I see Maya as the most powerful..
It is the same program that was used to create the movie "Avatar".
Maya's strong point is in Animation.

Looking pretty awesome so far. i hope the graphical issues are handled soon. Mario's feet in quantum entanglement mode looks funny.

The polygons twitching are just Maya trying to catch up.. Stopping the animation solves the problem.. It looks perfect when rendered
As for the warped feet, that's an error with how the mesh was binded to the skeleton..
Both errors can be fixed..
