Macs are fucking gay. Pc has more features than mac. I could build a pc 1/3 the price of a mac with higher specs. Pc's only get viruses if you dont have an antivirus or if you dont know how to run it on a virtual machine. pc can run games. Macs are overpriced. Most software is designed to run on pc. Macs are for newfags. People that use macs are automatically marked as a douchebag. Most software available on a Mac is available on pc. Macs are for show offs.

Not including a case, Wi Fi or bluetooth options, OS, keyboard and mouse, the price is $2,872. That's MORE than half the price of the Mac Pro and it still missing key components. You're not using the computer without a PSU, right?

I thought that the Mac Pro was just like an insanely great computer with amazing specs. For like editing and stuff. Are there games on the Mac like "Crysis" and stuff. I never really understood. Actually the single 6 core model is (marginally) more powerful than the 8 core

Total CPU power:

8x2.4GHz: 19.2GHz

6x3.33GHz: 19.98GHz

The 6 core will out do the 8 core at most tasks - especially single threaded operations which is what most Adobe applications work in - Photoshop for instance. Have a look on the "mac performance guide" website before you buy an 8 core because a 6 core might better suit your needs as the "sweet spot" in value. A little research will go a long way...

I'm getting one fairly soon, i got the quad core with the better graphics card, and i feel that it will last me a decade based on the games im playing. Also, I've always felt that a seperate display is better for mac computers.

Got to remember they use Xeon CPUs (server CPUs), so it's not a gamer machine. If you want to be able to upgrade your computer, you should just build your own PC. You will then get a lot more power for your gaming for less money.

A Pc for that price can mount a nVidia Quadro that totally destroy the 5770 and an SSD. There's just no match. And a 5770 makes no sense on a machine like this. No CUDA. Mac "Pro" is for idiot. Who would spend 3500$ for a machine that is totally overrun by a same price PC ?

OS X is a great Os (i've tried to make an hackintosh but not work with my HW), but Apple's computer have totally nonsense prices.

If that difference could be "reasonable" with Vista that really sucked, it's not with W7 that is a good OS.
