  • cool painting..great blending... forget those memory cards and go with the tried and true method, Mini DV tapes

  • Well I see in those eyes a woman very beautiful, intelligent and honestly will never be fooled again. I like this piece sorry for the mishap with the video but the slide show was enough. I like this one.

  • It is hard to forget to remember that which takes your breath away...

    Ty...

  • There is something in her eyes that is very heart touching. 5 stars. Ladessa I will get the work to you.

    Eddie. xo

  • great symbolism!

  • very nice! love the eyes!

  • Excellent painting & slideshow.

  • Hi sis! Looking good there! Thanks for sharing...

  • Hello... Thank you for viewing! have you uploaded any new work?

  • Not lately, I've been away but hopefully things will get back to normal really soon. I've been still working though just not as productive. I'll get back in deep a.s.a.p.

  • Another most lovely painting and still a good video in spite of the mishap with the footage. I hate it when that happens to me and usually happens when I turn the camera off before the camera is finished writing the data to the card.

Beautiful painting though, I always love to see what your mind and hands create!

    Happy New Year Ladessa!

    Hugs!

  • And Hugs to you too! Thank you, as well. Yeah, I was pretty disappointed at the time. The memory card error actually occured towards the end when I was still recording. I heard an odd "BEEP", then I checked my cam and it said "memeroy card error". I looked for the footage and it was all erased. Now, like w/ "Her Gift From God", I stop periodically, upload footage to my commputer. Then I start again. Tedious, but I can't take more chances of this happening. It was a bummer at the time.

  • Unlike other things, It's not like you can re-do a freestyled painting just for the camera! lol. I'm glad I shared it anyway. Took me a while because I really didn't want to just have a slideshow video. On the other hand, this made me see that I could do slideshow-like vids for other paintings where there is no process recorded. Glad you liked it anyway. That helps! Happy New Year Teresa.

  • i like the stylistic quality some very nice calligraphic marks

  • mm, calligraphic marks? very interesting... thank you.

  • Nobody's watch your struggle and progress . You are not alone. Nobody Care$ - TMNK

  • Thank You :)

  • I really like your painting it looks cool you should take that to an art museum or go around selling your paintings like one of the brothas i know

  • Thank you so much for the compliment and thoughtful suggestions. I sell prints already, and museums/galleries take a very large percentage of money when an original is sold. I have other means that are more fitting for my goals and allows my work to reach across the world, opposed to just one venue. I'm currently working on my online store, and as is, you can order prints by email.

  • I'm almost lost for words. I'm completely blown away by her steady glare that shouts so many things at once. So still, so settled.... yet saying so much. And its amazing how the colors are dim but the painting is so "vibrant". Her eyes are so powerful the dots dont seem take the attention away. Absolutely love it!

  • Thank you Goya... great and insightful comment. That means a lot to me. You pointed out a lot of things that helped me. This is the piece I told you is probably the fav I would like framed by you. Look at the "more info" to the right to get the dimensions. Love You.

  • Also... her eyes... yeah, the focal point of this piece. I intend to do more future work with similar structure and size. When painting I was trying to release so much into the eyes without making the eyes visually complex. I used large strokes for this piece and kept it as simple as possible... focusing on variation of color and facial highlights. A lot of soft melancholic emotion went into this.

  • I see the pain of every woman on earth,

our sorrow at the state of this sad world.

Thank you for sharing this with us.

  • Thank you so much for this endearing and beautiful comment. These are indeed heavy times. There is a universal consiousness... and all women, indeed share in these emotions.

  • Very deep and powerful. I'm feeling her pain.

  • mmm...me too. Thank you darlin.

  • I am SO glad you showed this painting to the world! I wish the video didn't accidently erase! SHE is all women! The colors on the bottom of the painting remind me of colors of certain pain inflicted. Her eyes look like they have history. An unforgettable history. She's Perfect! I love this painting.

  • you're perfect. :-D I really like what you said sis, about her eyes having a lot of history, unforgettable history. That's profoundly true and very insightful.

  • On a positive note, I tried to make the best of a bad situation. One thing that's great about a slideshow is how short the video is! I must've watched this 20 times already. Just hanging out here, waiting so I can reply to any comments.

  • I just had a wow moment. Press repeat. I just had a wow moment. Some things are worth repeating, it doesn't mean we forgot. I just had a wow moment. Those are the best ones. The eyes remind me of my platonic friend, my bud ...she had the nerve to get married, again. I need to paint a protest sign that reads "please don't forget me gurl, after all we been through". :-) I can feel it, she got a good memory.

  • Thank you for sharing that with me. I'm really elated that it has relevance to you. Thank you for always viewing and leaving me such interesting comments. I'm sure she won't forget. ;)

  • Wonderful! I absolutely love it. I feel so many different things watching the slide show and viewing it from so many different angles!

    LOVE U BEAUTIFUL TALENTED SIS!

  • I LOVE YOU TOO. I'm really happy that you like it. It took me a while to share this video because I was disappointed about losing the process footage, but I'm glad I did share it anyway. This painting has much simplicity but it means a lot to me and I'm so glad that it has that effect on you as well.

  • love that painting.....very kwel.

    peace my friend charlene

  • Thanks so much Charlene. I'm glad you like this one as well. I only wish my memory card didn't have a error, and this would've been a video of the enire painting process.
