The only thing that bugs me about this song and "Eclipse of Time" is that Sheena's voice totally overpowers the music. She's a great singer but I almost feel like her vocal is too powerful for Uematsu's music(which should never be overpowered) XP

Also wanna give Sakaguchi props for writing the lyrics. Music that's written specifically for a game like this fits so much better than when they take some random pop song and insert it into the game like what a certain recent FF game did. *coughcough*

@mengAlexandervang Its very rare that a singer doesn't overpower their musical back-up.  They seem to over power the band more and more when there's more band members playing.

I honestly thought this song was really beautiful somehow. yeah i though it was pretty funny when Jansen sung it, but I liked it. It was like Jansen and MIng's love theme. I really liked that. I really loved playing this game. And the dreams you unlock are so deep and moveing, that I swear there's lessons to be learned from them. If they do make a sequel I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

One of the first games I played with a lyric'd song in it was Legend of Dragoon. I don't know who sung it, but the song was called "Believe in Love".

More famously are the 3 Final Fantasys... 8 (Eyes on Me by Faye Wong), 9 (Melodies of Life by Emiko Shiratori) and X (Suteki De Ne by Ristuki Nakano, aka Rikki)

Final Fantasy X-2 also had 2 good songs. Real Emotion and 1000 Words. The music in X-2 was lovely... the game just sucked... lol

@strikerk I love jrpgs and some anime, but I hate some of the more hardcore anime fans, often called "anime freaks". Most are just filled with false conceptions and like what they do for the wrong reasons (mostly it being japanese).

Many of them simply don't care about the content, but just need the type of thing to feed their japanese-gayness fuel.

I personally dislike this song, but people not liking it because it's not "Japanese" have not heard a lot of Japanese music. This is very old fashioned. Latin America, Japan and Europe used to play stuff like this a lot in the 80's.
