@WABBITS8 Nonsense! Matt Smith's the best doctor since Tom Baker- I wish they could somehow decanonise all the shit Doctors inbetween the two of them. Peter may have done a good job but he was given a shit character to work with- the most useless failure of a Doctor ever, because JNT/Eric Saward were so desperate to make the show appear downbeat they had to reduce the Doctor to a pathetic shadow of himself. Davison's only shining moments were when a good writer gave him an Enlightenment or Caves
@twdalbeck27 yes, Delta & the Bannermen is a McCoy episode. a particularly bad story if i ever saw one. crap acting, crap continuity, crap baddie, just crap overall.
Hi - if you haven't ever watched the "older" Dr Who episodes - find time to watch some. You might find you rather enjoy them! The Peter Davidson episodes are very good, so too Tom Baker and Troughton/Pertwee, and were better "science fiction" in my humble opinion than the newest Dr Who's are. They each have their fans of course. Happy watching.
@EmperorOfEditing I agree with you about the way Omega looked. But I really like the tragedy of the character in Arc. When he almost makes it back to our universe, we get to see a new side to him, a childish side that is really just glad to be home. I really felt sorry for Omega when he had to go back :(
In Timeflight, two concordes have been taken back in time, millions of years into the past. The Doctor discovers that The Master is behind it all. The Master is stranded, and wants to use the plane passengers to excavate something that will power his broken Tardis.
In arc of infinity, Omega tries to take over the Doctor's body so he can return to our universe. They are actually ok, just not the best ever. I would recommend them :)
These are two of the worst ever stories from the classic series, so don't bother about them! They don't make any sense even when you watch them. There are much better stories with Peter Davison.
Omega is a Time Lord from millions of years ago who went mad and got trapped in a separate universe. He's also in "The Three Doctors".
i saw this trailer and thought both looked really goodbut then in went on a website and found a link to timeflight parts 1 and 2 and it didn't look as good
@cultmiester Don't know about Warrior's Gate because I haven't seen it but I have seen Delta & the Bannermen years ago in 2006-2007 and I enjoyed it but not as much as other Dr who episodes but it wasn't that bad.
Arc of Infinity is a great story...and Timeflight is fun...sort of cheap n chearful! Omega in Amsterdam, turning into a double of the Doctor and mutating is so cool, one of the better early 80s adventures.
@highwoodproductions Glad we agree!

@twdalbeck27 The End of Time was crap - true. But so is matt smith.
WABBITS8 9 months ago
@twdalbeck27 Please DON'T EVER compare Matt Smith to Peter Davison. Peter did a magnificent job -not so Matt Smith who is the worst Dr ever!.

@SonicMnM these episodes are actually allright.

how dare you arc of infinity is one of my favourites, if you think this is crap you obviously haven't seen delta & the bannermen.
cultmiester 2 years ago
@cultmiester - Yes I have. But there's "crap" and then there's "even crapper".

Objectively they are not great, but they date from my childhood, and I love them.
And you have to love Anthony Ainley being randomly oriental in a fat suit!!

Of the 32 Doctor Who DVDs I have Time Flight is the one I made a mistake in buying. The commentary was funny though.
flashrobbie 2 years ago
then don't buy delta & the bannermen, whatever you do. that IS the worst doctor who ever
cultmiester 2 years ago
@cultmiester thank you - I went to the BBC website and downloaded the Lungbarrow ebook for free instead.

@cultmiester Worse then The Twin Dilemma, The Happiness Patrol and Daleks in Manhattan/Evolution of the Daleks?
