  • or just buy magpul assists, for 3$ each

  • I used to use zip-ties (or "zap straps") but they broke.

  • pretty nice! thanks

  • Is there a definitve advantage to having a pull loop verses handeling the magazine directly? Is the advatage when trying to remove it from a mil spec battle mag pouch?

Also I found this video trying to find out how to install the green followers in older magazines, looks like the bottom plate just slides right out, do you have to straiten out the tabs or is it as simple as that?

    Thanks for the vid.

  • When magazines fill a pouch having a pull loop to concentrate pulling action on the mag you want is helpful. Of course you can grab the magazine itself, too. Try it and see what works best for you. Better to have the pull-loop and not need it than to need it and not have it. The bottom plate tab is very firm so when you bend it away to slide the plate out it doesn't deform but the plate bends slightly. When you return it the tab snaps back into place. If I had a better camera you'd see this

  • very good idea

  • No interference with spring in any way; sorry the video clarity doesn't show you better detail. Why don't you TRY THIS with some 550 paracord and see for yourself?

  • That's a good idea --- I have to remember that if I ever manage to get a magazine-fed rifle!
