I'm sure I'm not the only one to say that I like Yoshi's Island for the GBA better than for the DS. It's back then games were make with priden not money. The grafics look more like pantings while the Ds version looks thrown together. I've grown up with a lot of the old games like Super Mario World, Yoshi's Island, and Kirby's Adventure, and the older games always seem to capture my heart. Sure the new games look cool, but sometimes it's nice to my old friends.
heck yea been looking like crazy for this! I actually remembering just sitting there with my gameboy open at the menu screen just so the song could start and I'd leave it playing so I could listen to it LOL xp
i miss this game so much when i was a kid i loved it it has been at 7 years since ii played it i want the old days to come back now i have ps3 this was my game of all time
@NintendoxFighter if you mean this game in particular thats quite impossible...its only been out since 2002. If you mean Yoshi's Island in general then fair enough
yo tengo el yoshi island funcionando en mi SNES pero no escuho esta cancion porque me lo di vuelta y se ve el mapa de la isla de bowser y la musica en vez de empezar en 0:30 empieza desde el comienzo xD
listen my children, you know the story of the plumber in red clothes, who went adventuring through many worlds, even Dinosaur Land, just to rescue his beloved princess, and saving the young friends of his pal Yoshi, well, this time, we'll go to earlier times than these, we're going back, a long way back.... listen to the story, of Yoshi's Island
man thats a so nice carefree song, you gotta love it...my first game on the snes and how much i loved it =)
all the different stages in the game were so epic, it really feels like an adventure you sharing with babymarion and the yoshis and the last boss fight: holy shit...maybe the best climax in video game history!
its sad that the ds game is so average (compared to this game, its still very good)
I was playing this game with the sound plugged into a bass amp when I realized that this has an awesome bass. Every bass player/Mario fan should learn it.
i never got to play this game. the earliest console i ever played on was the Nintendo 64, with ames like Paper Mario and the like. all i have to say is, i love these old games. it just feels like they had so much more heart than modern games do. i'm not saying that there aren't any good games any more, but it just feels like these timeless classics can never be outdone. i don't know what it is, but they are just better, through and through. <3
My sister and I were too young to play this game when it came out, and our brothers didn't have it for their SNES, but we both LOVED Paper Mario... I'm gonna send her this and send her on a nostalgia trip.
this game. . .it brings back so many memories! i loved this game so much and i still do, i feel like a kid whenever i play this game and they dont make games like this anymore. i feel bad for the kids in the future cause they wont be able to experiance such awsome games :D
Quite possibly one of my most favorite midi songs. I remember this being the first game I ever bought, and it was the first game I ever completely beat as well. For me, it was the game that started my love of everything that had a controller and required quick thinking, and an even quicker set of thumbs.
@supershadow125 It's sadly only nature, look at the facts... Nintendo = Gaming company. Period. Sony? All kinds of technologies, music, tvs, media players, sound systems. Microsoft? Computer software, computer powered gadgets. Sega = All gaming company, but makes consoles? Not anymore. I wish Sega came back, the Big Red and Big Blue, had to hand it to Sega for being what even Sony and Microsoft are not, all about the games before just graphical power and technology alone.
Well the problem for me with the Intro was the fact, that the music starts playing after 0:30. I haven't had the patience back then to wait that long for it . I always thought nice intro...seagulls etc. but i haven't heard the music score till now...because gameplay was to brilliant to wait that long ;)
@sora1995KH Ahh..yes, Yoshi's Island. Such a pleasant game, well...except one thing. It always made me throw eggs at my brothers because they would never shut up when I was trying to listen to this amazing tune XD. Wait a minute, I never had any brothers(well, at least back then I didn't) 0_0

I remember this game, when me and my sister tried passing it. Good memories. They just don't make games like these anymore. Yoshi Island for life.
