  • Great Video!

  • who are rider 0;50 ??

  • BEAUTIFUL!!

  • nice. i used the same song (Gypsy) for the show with my horse =)

  • The music is from a dance musical called Lord of the Dance, and is called 'Gypsy', not from the Gypsy Kings!

  • i wish my horse could do that :) We's only 3 years :D

  • The Gypsy Kings have absolutely nothing to do with this music. Its called Gypsy, and was part of the Lord of the Dance soundtrack. Ronan Hardiman is the composer.

  • at least htese riders aren't doing rollkur to the horses

  • i saw the play:) it was very nice. lots of great dancers

  • You cannot teach a horse to do this it is allready there. You have to draw it out so the horse will do it for you.Truly awsome thank you.

  • beautiful...

    amazing job! :D

  • Very nice! love the music

  • Dressage is not my favorite, I like hunter, but respect the effort put into Dressage.

  • Like it a lot! :)

  • I rode dressage for 2 years and i admit im not pro enough to get very far. i have picked up hunter and i enjoy it a ton but the grace and beauty of dressage still gets me!

  • On 1:09 has a similar saddle to mine...I got it for free, other wise It was probably expensive:*)

  • 0:53 looked like the rider might have been pulling back a bit hard, but beautiful horse. Love the video.

  • she's actually being very allowing with her hands and following the movement of the horse. =]

  • Must have just been my eyes then. ;)

  • it is an easy mistake to make. thinking she's pulling back when she really is keeping a stable connection as the horse moves their head instead of leaving slack in the reins.

  • @PapaRoachGirl18 Just watched it again, you seem to be right.

  • =] i've just been riding dressage for quite a while so have learned what to look for

  • @PapaRoachGirl18 I, also.

  • So pretty.

  • I LOVE IT!!!

  • In this video, the way the horses are swishing their tails indicate that they are balanced, and confident.

  • that was sooooooo cool! great job

  • Swishing tails in horses are a sign of resistance. Now you can work i out for yourselves whether they are enjoying something or not.

  • haha loveley all the jumping accidents at the beginning then the nice dressage :)

    awesome video!

  • Very nice :) I like the end ;)

  • the name of the music is lord of the dance? please, please, please answerme!!!!

  • yes it is

  • @CabezaDePaja It's Gypsy, from Lord Of The Dance

  • @CabezaDePaja It's Gypsy, from Lord Of The Dance

  • It's Gypsy, from Lord Of The Dance

  • @CabezaDePaja

The song itself is called Gypsy, it's off the Lord of the Dance soundtrack

  • Hermoso, realmente hermoso! ese deporte tan lindo y tan culto! me encanta precioso!

  • Awesome!!!! advanced dressage at it's best!!!

from extended trott - over half pass - beautifully performed piaffe -,flying change of leg -pirouette - passage etc..- WOW, everything is included and so true, the horses look as if they were dancing indeed! ~ beautiful to look at, that is for sure!!, I just hope the horses enjoy it as well....

  • I wish I could do dressage that good. I'm only 9. The most complicated thing I've done is a tie between cantering in 3 circles and leg yeilding XD

  • i love dressage! my favorite manuever is the flying lead change

  • lol thanks 10cowgirl.

i know what everything else is called, it's just that i've never seen a canter half pass before! XD

  • will someone tell me where I can get tips/lessons for well cheap to free.

  • books

    dvds

    and watching these riders

you also need a very good horse that likes to do these kind of things

  • at one point it looks like the horse is cantering sideways?! lol

  • That's called a canter half-pass.

  • Um mondy, naturally a horse's head "bobs" at walk and canter and gallop therefore the rider's hands should move with the horse's head to allow the horse to have freedom of movement through the head. Only time a horse's head should not "bob" is when trotting, because that indicates lameness. But there are a few bobbing heads at the trot there.

  • Hello! My name is Shannon and I want to help all of you that have problems in jumping, english, dressage, and halter. If you need any tips or training info, you can comment me on my channel and you could be riding like a pro in no time!! Remember, I am here for helping you all out, not for crit' people......I want to help!! Thank you and Good Luck!!!

  • My horse is unconfident over jumps. What would be your take on that?

  • Great song, but so many of these horses are symptomatic of the wrong turn modern dressage has taken.

The irregular steps, 'bobbing' heads and noses behind the vertical line are the most visible signs of incorrect training. A good place to learn more: see Gerd Heuschmann

  • thank you! Thank you for having the guts to point that out! No one seems to notice!

  • beautiful horses . horses are the sunset of my life the best fergie thing in the whole fergie world(fergie means frigan)

  • awesome, where do u get ur clips from

  • This song is called Gypsy on the Lord of the Dance album, its one of my favourites :D

  • super piaffe bei 0,57!!

  • selten eine so entspannte piaffe gesehen!

  • ok please no-one get mad at me for asking this; does anyone recall why monty roberts said he´d want piaff to be left out of dressage? I remember reading that article in which anky said to him it´s sad monty wants it out. How long does piaff-performance usually last in a contest? I´d recall not that long enough to cause harm to the horse or discomfort when the rider really knows what he´s doing and is light with hands? Opinions, anyone? :)

  • @Jefrma about 10 15 seconds

  • love this music

i used to use it for my ice skating routine

which is totally irrelevent to this video. but still

    nice work =] x

  • Beautiful horses and amazing movement. I LOVE the song. It goes so well with what they are doing.

  • omg, they are so beautiful! :D <3

  • Awesome video!! Great song choice!!

  • Absolutely fantastic!!

  • amazing!!

  • I love the horse that's prancing in place

  • piaffes are beautiful movements. Amazingly hard to acheive though

  • it is. I've been working on it with my horse. He hates me for it too. It's so beautiful to see it finished!

  • i know, i personally dont do dressage, but my friend does. Its so much fun to watch him train and everything

  • @thebluebot I know! I remember when I first got my horse to do them, I couldn't stop grinning for a week :D he didn't look as good as these ones though :( hehe

  • i just got the dressage horse (whom i have been riding thanks to the fact the real owner is away in china for work, haha) to do them! it took awhile considering no one was helping me i was just asking randomly, he got what i was saying, now we can do beautiful piaffes and passages.

  • WHERE DID YOU GET THE SONG!AWESOME

  • omg ive always wanted to see a GOOD dressage video to this song...and i must say i am impressed :)good job!!

  • But i love this video! Awesome! Good job who put this video and music together! Thank you

  • Nice choice of music, some good clips.

  • __________<33333333333__________

  • i used to think dressage was easy cuz i wasnt ON the horse lol

  • lolololoollo

  • I LUV PIAFFE N PASSAGE!!! So cool!

  • BEAUTIFUL VIDEO!

  • asome and cool the music goes with the cool moves

  • Ronan hardiman - gypsy

  • where'd you get the music?

  • Sweet!!

  • cmo todos os outros....

    perfeito :P

  • Nicee!

  • damn the riders stab the horses with the spurs. every time the horse moves!

  • to the horse don't loose energy on the move

  • it dont hurt them?they only squazze with there leg thats all

  • no ur wrong u dont no wht ur talkin bout so no b4 u talk spurs r used only wen theyr needed to they r NOT USED WHEN THE HORSE IS GOOD My bff uses spurs she uses them the good way Im NOT saying tht evry1 is nice with them but mostly evry1 also ther is NEVR A BRUISE OR CUT stab is a lil extreme NO WHT UR TALKING BOUT B4 U POST IT JUST HURTS PEOPLS FEELINs CONFUSES PEOPL WHO DONT NO OR MAKES PPL MAD! Im none im just correctin u so u dont hate spurs ALSO WHEN I CAP ITs IMPORTANT NOT YELLING

  • If you at highest dressage level like that- you will know that those riders mos def know how to use spurs. So whoever talking that spurs nonesence need to know that dressage a bit different than western or just riders that use spurs not knowing how to use it or even how to ride. I got my 2 cents inn and i am done here. Peaple read books and take lessons and when you are really good- i mean REALLY GOOD, then you can comment on something that you know about it!

  • Are you talking to me or captjack80? also those comments are from 4 months ago, so it doesnt matter any more...

  • No i am not. I kind of agreed with you on that comment. I just sad what i thought i should say. Nothing personal.

  • ok thx

  • no they dont

  • @EquineEve ...no they dont, its just to keep the energy in the movement..its not 'stabbing' [as you put it]...its more of a nudge :) x

  • thanks for copying my idea with this video :(

you could have at least emailed me about using it !!!!

  • i didnt :O but ok

  • Omg love this video cant stop watching it!! x

  • I bet the wild horses are looking on with a massive WTF look on their faces

  • how do they get the horses to do that?????

  • Lots and lots of training and practice.

  • what leg yeilding you guide the horse with your legs and pull one rein back and give with the other and collected trot you justslow down and collect the reains

  • where do u get your clips ?????????????????

  • how do u get them 'at youtube?'

  • yes i have a website who gets videos from youtube

omg i lvoe this the music i LOVE horses this is the best video 5/5

  • Sorry folks, "Lord of the Dance" is not by The Gipsy Kings. It was created by Irish composer Ronan Hardiman especially for Michael Flatley's Irish dance spectacular.
