  • Love this group! A couple years ago they came to indy and played with the indianapolis symphony orchestra. It was awesome! My mother taught my teenage daughter how to swing dance to their music and my daughter absolutely love every minute. I just goes to show how inter-generational this music can be.

  • Saw them last night.

    FREAKING LOVED THEM!

  • Anyone knows the title of the song at 8:42? TSounds so good... I would love to hear it!

  • @osojoso "So long, farewell, goodbye" is the title. this is the last song from "Americana Deluxe"

  • @Utremervarna

    Thanks a lot! Downloading in 3, 2, 1...

    Have a nice day : )

  • I am sooooooo stoked. these guys are amazing, I can't wait to see them live, and i'm SOOO unbelievably ANGUISHED that they are not coming to GA anytime soon!!

  • BBVD Rulez!

  • I absolutely love these guys. I am seeing them live soon and I can't wait.

  • This was my fav band EVER. No matter what these jazz gods are the single best musicians in my eyes. I've been listening to them all my life and hopefully the rest of my life. ROCK ON BIG BAD VOODOO DADDY.

  • The Kid was my inspiration. I've been playing for 11 years and I probably never would have even considered it if I didn't see these guys when I was young. And the fact that the Kid came around the table to shake my hand when I met 'em all just blew me away. I owe a lot to these guys, and I look to thank them one day (super cheesy I know but whatevs)

  • @Snakebite1208

I had the pleasure of playing in the jazz band with The Kid in high school . We all knew he was going to do something special with his talents.

  • This explains why no new singles have come out. I love these guys!

  • These gents here are my inspiration to my music .....im a guitar player and i play jazz all the way to heavy metal... ive actually covered ther songz with a rock band & well ....... well itz jus fantastic..

So cudos 2 these swingerz & i freagin love these guyz ..

  • Amen to what you've all said guys!!!!!!! Minnie the Moocher was the first song i heard form these guys and i've been hooked!!!! i wish they would come to Colorado soon though.....other than trombone they have inspired me to play other jazzy instruments!!!!!!!!!!! THESE GUYS ROCK!!!!!!!XD XD XD

  • My favorite band by far. I'm currently in school playing trumpet, and "The Kid" was one of my biggest inspirations for picking up the trumpet and continuing on with it for the past 5 years. One day I hope to tour with a band as awesome as Big Bad Voodoo Daddy.

  • Thank you for allowing me to stop by!

Hey this is really GREAT STUFF HERE!

It inspired me to start a band too!

I would like to share with you what The Bailouts have been doing:

Please click on my posting link!

Enjoy and keep passing all of us at YouTube around!

  • What a great band! :D

  • You can just hear the heart they put into their music. A friend of mine through on their CD at work, and I was a fan by the end of the first song, The Boogie Bumper. They rock.

  • I saw/heard these guys live a couple years ago. Hard swing heaven! Couldn't get the grin off my face or the jump out of my step for at least a week. I mean I was stompin' and couldn't stop! Not that I tried, noWutIMean? :-D

I also got to see first hand how supportive these guys are of local school music programs. They really gave the kids a lot of pride and approval in the work they were doing. A+

Thanks for all the times you gave me something to smile about, guys.

  • I really wish they'd come visit Oahu, Hawaii.

  • Just saw them last night in concert. The show featured a set of some Cab Calloway songs, some New Orleans jazzy songs and of course swing songs. The energy and musicianship was extraordinary.Don't miss this group live if they are near you.

  • Did you see them at Mt Snow?

  • Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania. Hall holds about 3500 it was pretty full.

  • Aw man, I love this band. Mambo Swing was the first one I heard by them, and I immediately knew they were one of my favorites. Thanks for uploading this! There's a lot of work that goes into putting on a live show, no matter how big or small.

  • The best contemporary swing band, sure!!!

  • yeah, that's a habit you ought to get out of.

  • who owns more, trumpet player or piano player?

  • I'd say piano...but I'm biased as a piano player myself!

  • BBVD is awsome! I remember the day my trumpet teacher gave me their '98 cd, I listened to it the rest of the day and I'm still addicted 3 years later. great video!

  • I love this kind of music, and there is nothing wrong with the people swing dancing upfront, it's what they play this music for anyways.

  • they are the best

  • The BBVD is awesome !! Saw them in concert a few weeks ago and they are even better in person !! Much better music than some of the CRAP I hear on the radio these days . No need for foul language or sex... good music doesn't need that garbage. If you can't appreciate these guys , you need to get a life.

  • I agree with Bassonist4689, while these guy's aren't my favorite they are really talented and highly musical!

And why is calling someone gay an insult?

  • bcuz every1 wants to be a clone of every1 else, and homosexuality is a minority

  • Why don't you go to hell, these guys are awesome

  • I'm going to hire these guys to play at my wedding.

  • good idea

  • This is a very good video.

I can't wait to see them live!

  • The singer ruins it

  • You mean Scotty Morris? Why does he ruin it?

  • This is a great group. reminds me or Brian Setzer's big band. Swing is King. It had a good run a few years ago. I love it.

  • I love these guys! I saw them about 6 or 7 years ago in Atlanta at the now non-existant Music Midtown Festival. That part about playing punk clubs is so true, because they were playing on the stage sponsored by the local alt-rock station and as I recall they followed Reel Big Fish and Berlin, and later that night Mrs. Courtney Love and Hole were on the same stage. They brought the house down when they closed out with the Intro to "Smells Like Teen Spirit"

  • excellent music. would like to see a male version of "boogie woogie bugle boy".

  • superb clip/background/and insight on this awesome band

  • just saw them live last night. absolutely amazing.
