  • the enterprise was the SHIT..... I have so many memories of this place. so sad to see that it is demolished.... I wish I could have known about the auction. I would have bought the fuggin enterprise and put it in my backyard..... would have been proly just as safe as it was at RP if it was back there... LOL

  • i miss the rock n' roll express

  • gay music

  • I got screwed at Rocky Point!

  • Best memories of childhood = Rocky Point.

  • I used to love this place when I was a kid. At least Warwick has.....well I guess they don't have anything now

  • ManI wish I could go to tRocky Point. too bad it's gone now :(

  • Wow haha rockypoint has absolutely nothing now. Used to have this, a bowling alley, golf courses, movie theater, and more. Now we just have a shitty highschool

  • @sexypotato11 you do realize this wasn't actually in rocky point, NY right?

  • The corkscrew is now at ceder point in Sandusky, Ohio.

  • @dendog76 Actually the CorkScrew is at a park outside Seattle

  • @dendog76 Cedar Point's Corkscrew is a completely different ride.

  • Wow! That was a long time ago, but I remember RP BEFORE the flume! OK so I'm old! We lived about a 5 minute walk from the park growing up.

  • @Clayfancy1 Was the flume built in the early 80's?

  • haha, the mafia used to smuggle drugs through this park

  • do you have an mp3 file of this at all? If so, could you send it to me?

  • wow this brings back childhood memeories lol!

  • ROCK N ROLL, enterprise, and the music express!!!

  • @CarrieRulesTheBlock Enterprise was my favorite!

  • Does anyone know where The Music Express is now?

  • I've been wondering that myself all I know of is other places it can be ridden at like Kennywood

  • nope but whoever got it paid $130,000 min for it god knows the Cork Screw left there for more then 1 million and shit I thought moving From The Riv to TN was a bitch I could just imagine how much of a bitch it was to move that coaster to seattle

  • The Music Express was the shit

That and the Flume were the two best rides there

  • @chiefbrody75 there is one in hershy park pennsylavania i went there last summer

  • Yes gone but not forgotten here.

  • Come with your family, Come with your friends, it's a Rocky Point tradition and the summer never ends. Rocky Point is so exciting, Rocky Point where you can come alive, Rocky Point your all invited to share some summer fun Rock-E-Point!!!

  • Listen again: "You're all invited to share our summertime".

  • I worked there summer of '80, was 19 at the time . I was a ride operator . The Flume mainly but probably worked on 7- 8 different rides over the summer. They used to put a worker out on a chair towards the back of the ride, right before the logs(the flume) started the climb up before the final splashdown, you wouldn't believe what you saw some nights going on in those logs !

  • Do you remember what the second ride was called by any chance? The drop went straight down?

  • I think that was the free fall

  • freefall

  • Its now called Cedar Point.

  • I don't think so....

  • It's now called abandoned... and possibly being turned into condos or some crap.

  • @swevenstar Yes, They are turning them isto EXPENSIVE apartments for the RICH. They such idiots for closing it down!!!

  • UMMM. NO.

  • naa its abandoned theres nuthing left in the location of were rocky point ''used'' to be it's so sad to look at the abandoned location

  • all the rides were auctioned off. corkscrew went to wild waves in seattle and its called the wild thing now and its green

  • no it's not. it's closed down.

  • I like how they used the same commercial from previous years and edited in the new Freefall shots to correspond to the arrival of the new ride. I remember that park well. Started going there after Lincoln park closed. Sad Indeed.

  • Lincoln Park in Dartmouth Mass was better..

  • They were both great back in the day! Technology like video games, the Internet and cable/satellite TV really helped kill off amusement parks, sadly

  • I live in Fall River Mass & the closest park for me is Cannobe Lake in New Hampshire & I dont even think its that good.

  • I grew up going to this park every summer! I would love if someone were to fix it up so I could take my kids there!!!

  • I actually remembered some of the word 2 the song-very cool

  • miss rocky point so bad i wish it was still there, there was so many good memories there

  • Miss this place, wanna save it so BADLY!!
