the enterprise was the SHIT..... I have so many memories of this place. so sad to see that it is demolished.... I wish I could have known about the auction. I would have bought the fuggin enterprise and put it in my backyard..... would have been proly just as safe as it was at RP if it was back there... LOL
Wow haha rockypoint has absolutely nothing now. Used to have this, a bowling alley, golf courses, movie theater, and more. Now we just have a shitty highschool
nope but whoever got it paid $130,000 min for it god knows the Cork Screw left there for more then 1 million and shit I thought moving From The Riv to TN was a bitch I could just imagine how much of a bitch it was to move that coaster to seattle
Come with your family, Come with your friends, it's a Rocky Point tradition and the summer never ends. Rocky Point is so exciting, Rocky Point where you can come alive, Rocky Point your all invited to share some summer fun Rock-E-Point!!!
I worked there summer of '80, was 19 at the time . I was a ride operator . The Flume mainly but probably worked on 7- 8 different rides over the summer. They used to put a worker out on a chair towards the back of the ride, right before the logs(the flume) started the climb up before the final splashdown, you wouldn't believe what you saw some nights going on in those logs !
I like how they used the same commercial from previous years and edited in the new Freefall shots to correspond to the arrival of the new ride. I remember that park well. Started going there after Lincoln park closed. Sad Indeed.

Lincoln Park in Dartmouth Mass was better..

They were both great back in the day! Technology like video games, the Internet and cable/satellite TV really helped kill off amusement parks, sadly
sliv812 3 years ago
I live in Fall River Mass & the closest park for me is Cannobe Lake in New Hampshire & I dont even think its that good.
ccg1171 3 years ago
I grew up going to this park every summer! I would love if someone were to fix it up so I could take my kids there!!!
