This is a great movie and Lee Marvin's performance. He is even more ruthless than he normally is and that's saying something. You know when I used to watch his appearances on TV such as that episode of Bonanza where he is treating Adam Cartwright as his slave or in that movie "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valence", I would despise that dude but as the years have went on I realize that he is truly a great actor. There are times when he is tough and funny at the same time such as The Dirty Dozen.
