i may be wrong but my gtp which has limited mods including a nice tune cat delete colder spark plugs and thermistate with timing is pushing 240 whp and 300 torque. i fell like if i was a broke sob and i spend a little over 2 grand i could kick this cars ass. but correct me if im wrong. i mean. heads cam. bore it our .20 over. intercoller. smaller pully. idk maybe im crazy. still sexy ride man love it. think you just went the wrong way.

I raced a 97 GT that had a t4 on it. I've got a 12.6 sec 06 mustang gt and only beat it by a 1 1/2 - 2 cars from a 30roll to about 125.  Thing was wicked. My mom had a 98gt sedan, same color and all. It wasn't a speed demon but from 1 mile to 109k miles when it was totaled gave no problems aside from an o2 sensor, other than that, it had no issues. After it was totaled she got an 05 GTP. Didn't really like the 05...it had quite a bit of issues. sold at 45k miles

@bbrewer5 97-2003 are best years for the gtp after that it kinda goes downhill. The 05 and later have cheap plastic interiors and various other problems. I wanna get one next year but they pretty rare nowadays.

Twin-charging one of these cars can possibly get it into the 9 second range, but just turbo can do that too.

I do believe you can get a performance chip if your car does not come stock with a supercharger. I gave up on trying to find one for my car because of the supercharger.

I just got the base model The GT. Its still fast off track control. I actually learned how to shift the car when i want by letting up on the gas and pressing down at certain times so it shifts to second, 3rd etc.

Not all engines can handle boost pressure. But the 3800 you have in your Monte is the same engine that is in this Grand Prix. Well, minus the mods and a turbo...

Yeah you have to check your fluids almost daily, which is a bitch - make sure you don thave boost leaks and make sure all your piping is tight and flowing smosothly, also have to keep track of your a/f ratio at all times to make sure ur injectors are functioning properly..
