1.1.2 but 1.1.2 is harder to jailbreak, i reccomend watchin ipodtouchmaster's videos, they really helped me alot

mabye you did not watch the video. you downgrade to 1.1.1 then jailbreak and download an app then upgrade to 1.1.2
