Interesting comparison this. We seem to be reading more and more that although newer performance cars are more powerful and technilogically more advanced the reviewers prefer the past masters as an overall driving experience.

Driver experience is far more important than just going fast!!!!

I think Clio would easily outdo Ford Focus RS with additional horsepower. It has 10 times the handling capabilities! And Ford didn't even make the RS engine. Volvo did! That kind of leaves Ford with nothing! Ford haven't made anything special except for a few cosworth's and a GT40

Wonder what the criteria of the test was..?? caus the faster and more refined car lost because the tester preferred the clio because it was more of a handful and hence more fun to drive...... so should ford make the focus with less grip ,, and hence slower, so it will be more fun to drive for this tester... DONT THINK SO.

@haloaum I think it's obvious that the decision comes down to which is the most fun to drive. It doesn't mean it's a "better" car in any particular sense, it's simply the reviewer finds it more enjoyable to drive. I don't really see what your issue is with either the conclusion or the reasoning.
